The word you are searching for is entitled. I have no problem with people voicing their negative opinions as long as they willing to offer positive ones when they are deserved. As you are someone who regularly likes to complain about absolutely everything naturally you will always be keen to side with the naysayers.

Yeah, I recall last year in one league game. I think it was Nugent went for goal when man across the square was the better option.

Against Mayo, he learned and played it across for Rian’s fisted goal.

Players needs to be able to make mistakes. But we can learn from them, like in everyday life.

Better decision making all part of the learning curve. When we see progress like in Nugent’s case, at least we know we’re getting there.

7 days makes some difference in the gaa world
I thought tonight's performance was great especially given the weather, we played some lovely football. We certainly bounced back from Last week and that is positive. Probably should have had a few goals as well. Still at lose to see why Jamie picked up two yellows anyone who knows put your answer on a postcard. Fair play to players because that was a horrible night, fair play to all the supporters who braced the elements. On to the next game and hopefully to wins on the bounce..

A night to be proud of our team. Horrendous conditions, missed goal chances, wides and then your most renowned player gets sent off with most of the second half to play up the hill into rain and a strengthening gale. They showed tremendous heart and skill to a man.

I know I am biased but I feel a couple of Kildare players let themselves down by feigning injury. It also appeared to be a tactic to niggle around the midfield area. It is probably this that makes me more annoyed about the Clarke sending off than anything. Armagh were to be first into the changing room at halftime. Yet when a Kildare player starts throwing his weight about and handbags ensue it is Clarke who is the only one to get penalised. I don't like the fact that in GAA the retaliation always seems to be a greater crime than the instigation. His second yellow is one of those. He tried to fend off the defender and caught him. A yellow was always possible. The linesman on the stand side brought a number of issues to the attention of the referee.

Was at that extreme weather event last night as well!Kildare tried to play cute hoors all night long especially in the first half when we had the wind advantage. But have to say we were well worth the 6 point win last night.Great win over a well fancied team.
Another tick in the right box!
Hope they're shittin themselves in Mullingar.
Armagh here,Armagh there,Armagh every fcukin where..........
Bring it on!!!!!

A lot of what I was going to say already mentioned so just a couple of things

Some great scores in the game - Oisin O'Neill from the stand side, Daniel Flynn 2nd half
I've seen Rory Beggans 65 in CP - I think Rians 45 into that wind is as good
Their goalkeeper made two top class saves
We should have won by 12pts plus - we were that good
We have a serious bench

I had posted during the week that a more clear picture would emerge of this Armagh team after the Kildare game. Obviously it wasn't all good but for me a lot of questions were answered. What I hadn't factored in was playing into the teeth of a strong wind and enduring most of the second half with 14 men so the level of fitness must be hugely applauded.
There clearly must be a real strength of character and togetherness about this team - a priceless quality. The second half performance would not have been possible without this.
Also, would somebody please let Sean Og know how The Masked Singer went in case he is wondering?

Would nearly go as far as saying that was the best performance under mc geeney tactically outclassed kildare defensively sound an Great attack. That 2nd half was brilliant very harsh on Clarke disgrace he got a yellow. Thought ref was pretty dire all night rewatched on TV an it confirmed it

We’re in danger of losing the run of ourselves a little here, so I’ll offer a wee bit of constructive criticism.

It was far from a flawless evening from the boys on the line. It took way too long to instruct the team to push up on the Kildare kick outs in the first half. We were close to the 25 minute mark when they finally did so, and it was only from then onwards that we began to pull away on the scoreboard. Maybe 5 or 6 points were left behind by not realising earlier that Kildare had nothing to offer in attack against the breeze.

Alls well that ends well, though. And it’s a great thing if you can learn a few lessons while still winning.

I think you're in danger of being labelled a bit churlish so I'll offer you a bit of (also churlish) advice on stats.
Your post was about 85% critical and 15% positive. I would have had it the other way round

Perhaps we were a little slow to adapt to Kildare's tactics and we could have pushed up more early on.
But for me - that was probably the best team performance in years. Many great individual performances - but for me it was am exhibition of fitness allied to skill and a great attitude.
Now - we must continue on from here, promotion is a real possibility but we cannot afford anymore no-shows like against Laois.
Well done all.

The issue I had with the yellow cards were as follows. Clarke was no more involved than at least ten others. So either everyone should be booked or no one should have. That said it looked to me like Forker started it by shouldering Flynn in the back when running in.

The second yellow was shambolic refereeing. Coldrick clearly saw the incident and allowed Armagh to play on. Once he did that there’s nothing a linesman can or should do. Now both Kildare and Armagh can feel aggrieved. Kildare because a score resulted from what the linesman say should have been a foul and Armagh because the linesman has re-refereed the game.

Of course it was an overwhelming positive performance. I, and others, have run over many of these positives in previous posts. However, there were still things that need more work.

The oppressive negativity on this board after poor performances is ridiculous. But sometimes the exaggerated positivity following a win is just as nonsensical. There’s always some good with bad and some bad with good, my contribution above was an attempt to reflect this.
