Ah to be in my early 30’s again... it was a great scene alright. Croke Park was probably the most colourful it had ever been.
Interesting fact, all those Armagh flags were made from a load of Orange Order gear that was stole from Orange halls.
15 flags we, er, they made from one big banner... apparently (think I just about got away with that). And if you look closely at the flags at the game, the odd one has a bit of material that has King Billy’s horse’s head or tail on it. Hence, the term ‘head’s or tails’ was born. True story.
