I have to disagree massively regarding Duffy. He won a few crucial turnovers. He's a vital link breaking out on the ball and his workrate on and off the ball is absolutely fantastic. Had everyone brought Jason's level of intensity last week we would have won comfortably. Without question an automatic starter on current form.

Elsewhere - Cumiskey could do a job at 6. It's his favourite position. Was the best player on the pitch in the county final at 6 a couple of years ago. Conor O'Neill has been excellent this year but he's a man for either flank not a 6. McCabe also still a good 6 option.

If starting both Soupy and Turbo we obviously lose that major impact sub. But there's McQuillan who can come on and do damage especially with his pace. Jemar and Nugent options too.

I've got more and more optimistic as the week has passed. I genuinely strongly fancy Armagh. Let the bookies price it based on Armagh last week all they like. There's a response in the post and who better to play than that shower. Motivation will not be a problem.

Armagh by 4.
Dunno why everyone is saying that McQuillian could make an impact, I'd big hopes for him at the start of this campaign, but unfortunately the lad has flattered to deceive and has really brought very little to the team when introduced

my own view is lets see how he goes, at the moment he hasnt shown anything to warrant the hype aroumd hime but maybe if he has a little confidence shown in him he could catch fire

Cimiskey at number 6 is a bit of a surprise. Would suggest he is in the team to do a job on somebody. Peter Harte possibly.

Apart from that no real shocks. Turbitt in for Nugent is no real surprise.

Closer I get to the match the more confident I am of getting a victory
Numbers on jerseys mean nothing. Arguably CHB as a position doesn’t exist any more.

Presumably Crealey on Kennedy and between Burns and Ciaran Mackin they take on Kilpatrick and Oguz.

The game is likely to be tense. We really don’t need to give away cheap yellows.

The game against Galway is likely to be tough. We don’t need players suspended for it.

Agreed it's not the CHB of old but - disagree. Players with pace offer more out wide. A 6 needs to know how to sit when attacking, whereas a 5 or 7 can bomb forward at will. This is all the more the case if a man is picked at 6 to pick someone up.

Numbers on forward jerseys mean less but central - 3 and 6 are still positions that have to hold their place (even if numbered differently).

The CHB may be numbered 5 or 25 but has to play as a 6 - holding a central position.11 and 14 to a lesser extent.

Alot of negativity out there about Armagh I'd love to see Armagh go and try and play on the front foot and suprise everyone out there
Wooly Parkinson’s podcast Thursday was a hard listen. Absolutely slated armagh and Aaron kernan allowed it all. While Armagh obviously deserve criticism for the Westmeath Display Parkinson was far too extreme and Aaron too compliant in agreeing with it all.
Really love to shove it to some of these so called experts tomorrow.

I completely disagree.

Tyrone play with 2 inside forwards. Both of whom will be man marked. Who exactly is playing at 3 then?

The rest of Tyrone’s “forwards” are utility players. Donnelly, Meyler, O’Neill etc can pop up anywhere. We will decide to man mark some and rely on our defensive numbers for others. Oguz needs matched aerially. If say Burns is assigned this role and Oguz plays centrally does Burns become your No6/chb with Burns holding that position if Oguz moves/runs off?

We will have defenders who mark full time and others who sweep/pair up with movement. That’s your 2 positions. Corner back, full back, chb are gone as concepts.

WARNING

When you’re in Omagh today remember it’ll be full of divingmidgets. I will be having a few pints of stout with my divingmidget friends and with have a nice dander out to Healy Park from John Steet. I hope to lying on the floor myself later on in John Street singing the great Something Happens song Take a Parachete and Jump.

Armagh by 3…..

Top of the Town is the GAA pub, showing every type of game throughout the year live, from McKenna Cup to Junior Club games. Sports mad. McCann’s do a nice pint of stout. Both are in John Street in the centre of town. Like everywhere else the other pubs jump on the bandwagon when GAA counties are in town.

Is this another week where you all get on your high horse where I say mcgeeney is clueless?

We've beaten Antrim cavan down and westmeath......
