We have probably seen the best from Nugent. Coming back from injury is hard especially playing at a high level. No doubt he will probably stick around but Can't see him making much of an impact on the team anymore.

Thought (well hoped more than believed) we may have seen either or both oneill and o'hanlon on the bench, thinking being depending on how the other game was playing out it may have been an opportunity to get 10 or 15 mins into them.... Must be a bit off that yet so looks unlikely either will be a feature this season unfortunately

Be some disaster if Galway beat us well and Tyrone let westmeath beat them by a point or 2 nervy enough

Wouldn't it just, Tyrone have named a strong team so I would be surprised but certainly not impossible. I would like to think are game will be tight enough and therefore Tyrone will not want to take any chances

I think its quite an awkward situation. I've seen some comment on other boards that we simply play out this game, keeping our energies for the next game-the preliminary QF, which is knockout and potentially away from home. Dangerous ploy-we do not want to be in a position to be trusting Tyrone to off Westmeath-who are going into this round with nothing to lose. Cannot take anything for granted and need to make a big go at this, which is always what we would expect from an Armagh team. Only concern would be that we end up playing out another epic against Galway, expending a lot of energy only to end up slightly short from what is needed to top the group or be in second position-then having to sum up the energy for next week to possibly face Kerry in Killarney in a knockout game. Lets cross that bridge if we do have to, one thing at a time

The point is Rian deserved a red card and doesn't deserve it overturned.
Have you looked at the video?
What analysis have you done?
Are you listening and reading to social media comment's?
Are you just basing your opinion on what Joanne Cantwell and her ilk have said?

Joe id say you are in a minority here. Its been coming a while lets be honest, and whilst his jersey was being pulled a slap of the arm and he could have broke free of it after the first second or so, he should take his medicine, learn, set a better example as captain and move on

So that's your basis for saying he deserves it?
Do you think whoever was involved in the hearing decided we've no case here but we'll appeal anyway?

His discipline all year has been excellent and I'm sure you've seen how's he's treated at games physically and verbally.
Plus wasn't he bitten in the Ulster final ?

If it's straightforward - say a punch - no argument, take your punishment
But in this instance I don't think it's as clear cut.
I've watched the game back and slowed it down as best as I can. It certainly seems to show he didn't hit the player and it certainly shows he was looking to see where the play was and trying to move to get up.
I can't say definitively if he's being held down but if he was that, to me, would be a huge factor.

If I could find someway of zooming in to the incident maybe it might be clearer.

Also can you clarify your point on its been a long time coming? I don't understand this point.

Joe you seem stuck on this, maybe you should move on and let it go also, most others have accepted it. I will humour you however, and then will say nothing more on it.

It has been a long time coming- He's been very lucky to escape previously and has ran close to the wire several times. Whilst he is targeted and should take that as a compliment to his abilities, all the top players in the game are. Clifford being an example of being in similar shoes (the marque player and captain) but doesn't get involved as much as Rian does. Playing on the edge is part of his game, but he needs to reign (no pun intended) it in just a fraction and be on the right side of the line.

Was he bitten, there's no conclusive evidence and nothing more was made of it. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't but you cannot say for certain unless you know him personally, or you are him.

And to your last point, whoever is involved in the hearing. I would say this is management, and the CB, and the idea being if he wins great we have him, if not well it plays into the siege mentality narrative that is being created perhaps as a last roll of the dice for this management team. Just my opinion, as I say its a tight knit bunch and nothing leaks so who knows.

I would 80% of Armagh fans on here and I have spoke too would agree it was a red, and you know what its ok, we all do silly things. Hold your hands up, take your medicine and move on. We all should.

Roll on Sunday :)

Joe tried to argue that TK didnt eye gouge in the Galway match last year also, you only have to look at the video replay and its a clear red.

And I'm still right on that point as well

I'll see later if I can screenshot from the Tyrone video something of interest
