Been watching a re-run of the match. Just before HT, Rory Grugan was about to take a free. He seemed to pick something up, and gestured towards the hill, then threw it over the end line. I assume he was indicating that a coin or something had been thrown towards/at him, from the Hill.

Can anyone confirm this?

Seem that as well
Was hard to see what it was but looked bigger than a coin.
He didn't make a big deal about it - could have been something there from previous
Wouldn't like to think that's where we are heading as a sport
Just read there that cork are more concerned with playing concerts than games this year to try and reduce debt.

I never noticed this but just want to bring something up that was niggling me from the match . I number of times In the stadium I heard the ‘proddy’ comment ,(maybe they have seen the username) now I’ve always heard a few comments like this what’s it like to have a queen Blah , Blah but I heard this from a different number of Dublin fans on Saturday while not directly to me but I have definitely noticed it was a lot more widespread than usual and I wonder did anyone notice this , ironically the other two counties that I hear it from the most outside of the Dubs are our Ulster Cousins ‘Cavan & Monaghan’ .

I have said this before about Cavan. In all my years playing football the most verbal abuse I got was consistently from Cavan people. From playing in the Community Games in Cootehill as a 12 year old in 1988, through schools football against St Pats Cavan up to senior in club football I could genuinely say that Cavan supporters/ mentors were the worst. ‘F**k off to the black North’, singing God save the Queen, calling us black bastards etc etc. They really must have issues

I was thinking there, after our win on Saturday and all the talk previously about splitting Dublin into north and south - maybe we should consider splitting Armagh into east and west to make it fairer on the rest of the country.
C'Mon ta f**k East Armagh. I f**ckin can't stand those west Armagh hures!!!

Always found Monaghan supporters friendly and supportive of armagh croke park in 2017 springs to mind, cavan support and players yes seems as if theres an issue there alright but then what do you expect when they have won 2 ulsters in 50 years in a province filled with northern countys and taken countless beatings must have got to them after a while

I didn't notice on first viewing but looked at recording again after seeing Pats comment. Its hard to tell and as JoeH says, Rory didn't seem that bothered. I would not be sure he was gesturing to the Hill, looked like he was indicating something to the guys (umpires) along the endline.

Laois. 2005-thought at the time I was just unlucky to be next to a bad crowd of their supporters. Nope, serial offenders-real nasty vibe to them

Maybe it’s the ones on the Cavan Border .Probably tainted me when we played them in Casement park and I was in a Club in west Belfast and a Bus load of them came in Shouting no queen in Monaghan which wasn’t really the wisest thing to be shouting in that area , so probably sums up the level of intelligence in the group . As for Cavan our Cross correspondent has it spot on , what’s it like to have the queen pay for your education ? Is a common one from them , great I reply at least we can keep score at the games unlike yourselves .

My very first game was Cavan and never heard anything from them. Not to say it doesnt happen.

I have had a bad experience with Wexford and Donegal with the latter calling Armagh "dirty Northern b******s" those were the days they could never win a game against us.

Anyway, we have all at some point had a few bad experiences with different countries and they have probably had bad experiences with our fans.

True. Often it is band wagon supporters turning up for a big game when their county has bit of a run in the championship.
Laois are an enigma though. Found myself in a pub packed with Laois supporters before the 2003 game with them and had great craic. But in any encounter since, they just seemed almost constantly to be at the Nordie baiting. Not sure what is going on with them.

I remember we played down in Wexford in a NFL game a few years back. I listened to a live stream of the game provided by the local Wexford radio station. I wish I had a recording of it. Commentator loathed us with a passion. I know local services for these games have their bias reflecting support for their team-but the contempt for Armagh and their supporters just oozed out of this fella. Pure comedy gold.

It’s ironic that we seem to get a fair bit of sectarian abuse from Laois folk, given that they were known as Queen’s County, and the county was populated by English and Scottish planters.

History clearly isn’t their strong point.

Would think that Ross McQuillan is a big doubt the way he was on and off so quick on Saturday.I was impressed with Mackin on Against the Dubs a couple of times he was surrounded when winning the ball and he had the turn and skill to get out of trouble , I love seeing that from a big lad , ‘Big Mackin ‘ as the buck from Armagh TV would probably call him .
