No pen,ONeill black card, didn't know if the pen was over the line
He needs to get his vision checked if he doesn't think that crossed the line. He has lost credibility as a pundit coming out with shite like that, even Monaghan fans acknowledge it was a goal. Does he need a slow mo clip ffs?

Haven't see the O'Neill tackle again. McConville did say it was a black card offence though and that is his nephew.

Not a lot to add again as I've been a bit busy and haven't had time to post. Great though as it gave me time to reflect.

It was bloody baltic so can't really complain about the players not being able to concentrate properly. Warmer rain and a harder surface will suit this team.
Just an observation, but I believe (feel, think, presume - whichever term you prefer) and it's only a gut thing, the lads looked like they wanted to put the antics from the end of the last game behind them and were terrified of stepping out of line with Cassidy. He has history of being brutal in the AG. That's not me stating fact. It's me just pondering.

As has been mentioned, we missed quite a few sitting chances that could have went any way. We just didn't get the rub of the green with this one. It happens. Had the penalty score been properly applied.............and I'm not talking in the same way as "had Monaghan not missed as many! We did actually score it. If you watch the footage at that time it seems like there was no player reactions, but a lot was still going on with them trying to get a score of some sort. There was a definite protest a few moments later, but too late at that stage!

Singling out players in that game for individual criticism is a bit unfair. Not too many perfect performances. We win as a team and we lose as a team. That includes us - the support. Jamar Hall is a player I have a lot of time for. I think he's really good. No issues if you don't agree, because that's what you think. Same thing only an opposite view.

Maybe the performance was below par (it was), but I'll state again what I said recently. We're holding our own in division 1. Not so very long ago we couldn't get the win needed to get out of division 3.

Sunday Game and Pat Spillane.

So. There is no evidence of sending off but Forker elbowed (?) McManus who pushed him back.

Grugan has his jersey pulled and arm on his other side but in a still photo Grugan grabbed defenders arm and pulled him down. ( Is denying a clear goal scoring opportunity inside 21 not a black card anyway)

Rian O'Neill should have got a black card when he caught fella around the neck.

Armagh believed the hype!

No conclusive evidence that ball over the line for penalty. Last week they used social media video to show the melee.

Now for a bit of balance.

A Monaghan man beside me at match said Mansy hit Forker before the referee even spoke to the umpire.

What about the final free for Monaghan!!!

Conclusion. They must be starting to worry about Armagh :)

Something from last night that drove me nuts was the throwing of balls into the pitch delaying kick outs. Blain had options and a ball would be thrown on and on the 2nd half when behind it continued and aided 13 man monaghan 3 times in 10 minutes. Have they no cop on?
Totally agree. So bloody stupid. Same feeling when a player on the team behind on the scoreboard kicks a ball away or messes around wasting their own time to get back into the game. Never can work out the mentality of some.

On a completely different point, fair play to Derry. Making great strides in division 2. Will they keep it going and join us in 1 next year? I hope so. Need someone to replace ty............nah can't finish that spelling!

Going by twitter Spillane is getting stick for not calling the goal. Literally everyone posting on the Sunday game have stated it was a goal - he has lost credibility with the bollix he spouts.

Call me a paranoid Armagh supporter (“you’re a paranoid Arma...” ah, never mind)... but Spillane was trying to drag up something out of nothing.

The penalty. OK, wasn’t given. Move on.

Rian tackle, yellow, nothing more. There’s loads of challenges like that every game. Why highlight this one? Move on.

Grugan, had shirt pulled. Penalty. Even if it did seem he had a hold of defenders arm, it’s still a penalty. It wasn’t a black card for Monaghan man, but that’s not Grugan’s fault. Move on.

Stefan Forker (Stefan was probably at home with a pizza) incident is inconclusive. Why bring that up?

Spillane sees us as a genuine threat. He’s slyly putting the odd thing into referees heads, watch out for those boys Grugan, Rian, Forker. Just happens to be 3 key men.

Cute Kerry hoorism, or do I need to take my paranoia pill?

How many subs did we use?
Think we used 20 players. Turbitt for O'Neill as blood sub and O'Neill came on for Duffy.

If O'Neill had have come back on and Turbitt had have went back on for Duffy I don't think it would have been mentioned. I think effectively that is what happened
