Correct me if I'm wrong but did the PA yesterday forget himself for a short bit and start to say Roscommon instead of Mayo.

It's very unfortunate the complete northern bias that exists. On the one island and the disparity between people north and south in their views is completely tampered by the media that we listen to. The doctrination in the southern media against northern way of life has been systematic for decades.
It's just the jealousy Joe of our wealth and the fact that our currency has a lovely picture of a little old lady on it. Their's is worth nothing and has pictures dictated in a foreign land...........oh hang on! which one of those is us??? Hmmmmmm/The foreign land thing has thrown me. They're just jealous that we have Lough Neagh!!

Blaine has overcome the significant flaws he has shown previously. I think the problem for him now is his confidence, he looks a bit lost whenever he is taking goal kicks and there were a number of kicks in the Monaghan game that went astray. Is it entirely his fault? No. This is management and outfield players not making themselves available for kick out or having absolutely no strategy for the kick-outs. Rafferty might have a huge kick-out but what is the point in that if he cannot do the other things as well or better than Hughes. I know what I am getting with Hughes and whilst he is not the best goalkeeper out there you have to remember it isn't his club position. Whilst he has endured a lot of criticism on here he has shown he is capable of making improvements...the game against the dubs was his best in goal, he barely put a foot wrong.

The focus for Hughes is to improve the distance of his kick-outs. He needs to be more confident in himself and stay composed whilst management need to identify strategies where kick-outs can be effective and outfield players need to make themselves available. Once we use a tactic that counters opposition pressing the kick-outs they will stop doing it so much.
Did Hughes not win a club all star as a goalkeeper? Goals is his club position. I think the issue at hand for the management is there is zero competition for that slot forthcoming and they are maybe trying to find some. However it can be difficult to tamper too much in that position and the increase in competition needs to be balanced off with a confidence effect. Did Rafferty do any better or worse? Does it become rotational no matter how you perform and now heading towards league end and championship makes it tricky.

The major problem with Armagh’s kickout strategy is that at times of pressure players either don’t make themselves available or make half hearted runs. And a lot of the runs are the same. The initial dart in from outside the 45 is not followed by any secondary phases from what I can tell and is just waves of the same run in, out and in again. With the level of coverage now it is very easy to figure out an opposition kick out strategy. Need to create more options and more variety.

I don't want to get started and go too much off on a tangent, but they (in de South) have not much of a clue about what went on and goes on up here at all. I can't stand the throw away 'ah sure isn't one side as bad as the other' response you get when you mention any atrocity or sectarian act that occurred up here. The southern media reporting of things plays a big part. I remember the awful goings on at Holy Cross described by RTE as a 'dispute'. The Nordies are just lumped together as one big mad collection of people who would start a row at the drop of hat

I read that the Waterford contingent were calling the Antrim fans ‘British’ or something the weekend , RTÉ haven’t shown any highlights involving Antrim Hurling the past 2weeks even though other games in their league have been shown and apparently they have been two belters . So they won’t be raising it anyway .

Yep Kildare will be tough hopefully they put all their energy into the Dubs as it was a big deal for them after hiding after hiding .

If we had been playing them this week you’d like to think that would have an impact but a 2 week break will allow themselves to ‘ground’ it and they will be very hard to beat. Big bonus having it in Armagh though. Create a hostile environment for them in Athletic Grounds the way they did in Newbridge for the Dubs. Get a win in this game and play the last 2 games on our own terms, never worrying about winning or losing

I think this will be a really tough game. We've had problems with tall physical full forward lines in the past (Clare and Roscommon spring to mind) so need to be on our game to win this.

Let’s call it as it is
If we can’t beat Kildare we shouldn’t be in division 1
For me I am totally confident we will win this game

A Kildare team that drew with Kerry, I think they're possibly a better team than you presume them to be. Mind you I hope your confidence is totally justified & we do beat them.

Kildare play ourselves, Monaghan and Kerry next.

We play Kildare,Kerry, Donegal

Kildare got their 3 points at home whilst losing away to Donegal by 5 and to Tyrone by 1pt

Home advantage should be enough for us but Kildare will survive div 1 by beating Monaghan who they play after us. Can't see Monaghan beating Donegal away and Kildare play them at home.
Tyrone play Dublin at home next weekend where a win will keep Tyrone safe and relegate Dublin.
Kildare would be better placed to save their energy for the following weekend against Monaghan

Kildare have already played Kerry. They'll be eyeing us up big time and will fancy 2 points in the AG. It'll be great test as they'll be at Championship fitness level and have performed v well to date.

Aye Kildare play Mayo last.

I do think Kildare will target the Monaghan game for the points to stay up

I think its a division where any team could beat any one else , Kerry , Mayo , Tyrone ain't Invincible and we have seen how far Dublin have some back into the pack . While on paper Kildare might be seen as the weakest time in the division I think they will fancy their chances against us , like we will them .

I think we have to keep stump about the referee it is about us - not them. If they fall for the tricks of others then it is on them, if they are dishonest it is on them. We need to score goals and point to win the game and reduce the referees influence as much as possible.
