Armaghlad. One man's views do not necessarily reflect a clubs.
Totally. Just thinking exactly the same when I saw that. Can't tar all with the one brush. @bcb1 is offering an explanation and maybe I'm in a minority I see no reason not to believe it. Seems reasonable, truthful and believable. It's not a hysterical response. Apart from anything else Joe and quite a few other high profile members from Cross are regularly seen at county and indeed club games which don't involve cross. Simple fact is, if you love GAA, you love GAA. Bit like saying you only love your club. does that mean you close your eyes when they're playing and the other team has the ball, until your tea gets it back.

Since I was a nipper there has always been crap talk about north versus south and mid etc. That's what it is. Crap. Without having a rival, you don't have a game. That's what makes it interesting. I don't always agree with family or my best friends, but they're still my family and best friends. I followed Cross when they were getting great runs around the country and been to all but one AI Final (which they lost - sorry bcb1) and this Saturday evening I plan going Enniskillen to watch the Harps and Sunday all being well I'll be in AG for the double header. I guarantee there'll be a few from Cross as well.

Lads let’s not beat about the bush there has always been an indifference towards playing for the county among elements within Cross. You get it in clubs in every county up the country. Don’t pretend Armagh is any different.

:D Whether joking or not, it might not be a problem. I'm waiting on a guy deciding if him and his daughter are going. If not, I'd meet ya somewhere no bother. Won't know until Thursday evening though!

Disappointed to hear Paul Hughes not playing next year as I thought he was excellent for us, hopefully James Morgan will return. As regards to the O Neills it’s entirely their decision, likewise Jamie. There’s plenty of lads chomping st the bit to play so focus on who wants to make themselves available. I don’t believe there is any sort of boycott as bcb stated cross players have represented the county heavily the past 15 years. On a final point, its disappointing to see Jamie’s lack of interest in playing, careers are short & his time with Armagh has been very stop start, he had a gr8 year... I just hope in a few years he doesn’t look back with regrets.

I highly doubt there is a cross boycott. It's obv disappointing but it is what it is. Regarding Clarke after the year he had and the spiel he gave about leaving a legacy that one sticks the most. After what bcb said about Morgan i wouldn't bet against seeing him in orange next year. Nor paul Hughes for that matter. I don't know what's going on with Oisin oNeill but hopefully whatever it is can be sorted.

Funny thing is, when other good players like Stefan Forker leave the county set up for whatever reason, there's hardly more than a mention of it, yet if it's Crossmaglen there has to be some sort of issue.

Guys is not just easier to accept that players will come and go from teams for different reasons and it's really none of our business why that is, unless of course there really is a massive issue made public and then we could get our teeth into great recriminations?

Can someone contact McCoyDromintee from the old forum and get him signed up here so we can catch up on some proper stories with a little info behind them? Surely somebody has his contact details.

Over a long number of years Crossmaglen club have been great supporters of the Armagh cause, both by making their players available and by providing some of the finest legislators any county could wish for. There is no doubt we will miss the great talent of the players mentioned but they are young men and are quite entitled to do as they wish. Hopefully they will return in the not to distant future and line out for the county again.

The u20 final before the ulster senior final how's that going to work if a county has a u20 team & senior team in both finals with some players on both teams.

Raging. As far as I am aware any player on the senior team is not allowed to play for the under 20s under the new rules introduced this year.
