"We are much better than we showed"?????
What evidence? We are what we are - quite possibly the worst team in Ulster. Let's get real - too many good players do not want to be part of this set-up. We need a different leadership with a much more inclusive and open approach. I have no doubt that we will not beat anyone of note in the qualifiers and then will be relegated from Division 2 next year.
I said it last year & I now say it again - total change needed. In no other sport of industry would such repeated failure be tolerated.

100%, I got barred for saying this after the Laois debacle

Hopefull the days of censorship are over

Rufus, it was just a bad evening. We'll do better in the next round, and better in the round after that. I fully believe we'll be in the Super 8s but understand that some fans are starting to question this.
jarlath is that you building our hopes up?

Benjie we can assure you that there will be no censorship as the agenda here is set by the members and discussion is open to any subject for or against the current management of any of our teams or indeed the county board, as long as it's kept civilised - well sort of civilised. We just ask that the language is reasonable and nothing defamatory is discussed or promoted as fact.

Outside that, we'll chat with anyone privately and resolve things rather than public slanging. That drove me crazy and no I was never banned on the official forum and along with the other admins and moderators here we just stayed quietly in the background reading posts and talking about how and why we should and could do it differently on our trips away. Please feel free to PM at any time.

Thoughts were he would be a good attacking half back who can take a score, as for Clarke, it’s time to forget about him, he won’t be back

I think some people on here are very optimistic which is great but the facts are no wins in Ulster for 4 years. Kieran is on a five year plan that is nearly complete and we are now also rans in Ulster. I would have loved for him to be a great success but I can’t see when we will return to be a realistic force in Ulster football again. We have no chance of being in super eights. The county as a whole needs a complete overhaul. It’s time to go in a different direction.

I think the 4 defeats in c'ship since 2015 highlights the difference between league and c'ship. Each time we've been motoring nicely in the NFL, then come the c'ship we are totally off the pace v Donegal Cavan Down and now Fermanagh.

You'd think we'd be perfecting our game in the NFL and training, but come first round of the c'ship I keep going back to the same question "what have they been doing for 9 months?!". That's what I find most frustrating, that there's no evidence of a clear playing style or plan.

Even if we constantly hoofed the ball to a big Lurch at FF, at least it's a plan!

12 months ago we were lamenting defeat to Down, now it’s Fermanagh. Do we have to wait until next years ulster championship to be beat tamely by someone else even Antrim before the penny drops.

I wouldn’t worry about censorship folks. I’d worry about the people who we name on here. I was approached and cornered by a man recently over comments on here....and me out getting a wee bottle of wine to relax one night!!!

I think everyone needs to take a step back and think logically about Saturday.

1) yes it was utterly embarrassing but we won’t shoot 15 wides every match and it’s not the end of the summer and potentially avoided a tanking by Monaghan
2) I think too much is made of players opting out. Clarke will never play for Armagh again but that is due to him not the set up, geezer etc. As for Campbell, 2 o’neills, Morgan, heffron, rushe and o’hanlon, all these players could be back for next year. They’re absence has nothing to do with geezer etc just ended up being a coincidence that they all had something else on this year (uni, work, travelling). Also for likes of McKenna, Lennon etc yes they’re good players but they’re not world beaters that are the difference between division 1 and 3 for us. And for the cross players, many of their players are past their county days and therelll be at least 5 on the panel next year (O’Neill’s, Morgan, Hughes, rushe)
3) as for Saturday I don’t think it can be argued it was managements fault. I’m sure the players will be first to tell you that they choked for the second year in a row on the big day and let Fermanagh make us play their game. Are we forgetting that we were the better team against them twice this year?
4) I personally believe we should all back geezer for as long as he’s there. He’s created a solid team with tremendous talent and a seemingly good team atmosphere, if the players were unhappy with the set up we’d know about it.
