With U19s on a Friday and senior ladies fixtures on a Saturday evening, all relying on the same referees and fields, it’s not as simple as it sounds.

Add hurling and the camogs and you can see why no one wants to be fixtures secretary for long.

First step: agree a combined fixtures committee between all codes and associations in Armagh to navigate the complexity of fixtures.

Couldn’t they follow a similar schedule as other counties? Armagh isn’t the only county with ladies/hurling/camogie/underage etc. No need to reinvent the wheel here
The condensed nature of fixtures over all codes has to be considered
Over the past years Armaghs fixtures have been highlighted as a template

I think each club secretary should be asked to poll their senior squad on this. Ultimately it concerns their lives and lifestyle. Most players are unmarried and want to go out at the weekend. The restrictions on their social life has caused a fair few players to drop out of the game. I would say 90% plus of players are against Sunday games.

Odd Sunday game in a normal year is ok, but lads haven't been able to go to the pub for a year+. Would love to see that poll alright

Would anyone know if it was possible to play reserves before a senior league game ie like in Tyrone. Obviously this means it has to be the same clubs involved in both games. But it would clear up a night midweek to allow u19 on Wednesday and then reserves/senior on Friday or Saturday night.
Not sure if we have the player or referee numbers to accommodate that though.

Antrim play senior football on a Wednesday night, which sounds better to me. I think it was the same for championship games too, I think there was a penalty shoot out at near 11pm last year.

It’s a bit obnoxious to think people have nothing better to do on any Sunday for the whole of summer than committing a fair amount of time to what is ultimately a hobby.

Wednesday night would be difficult with lads coming from work and then having to work the next day, Friday and Saturday games the way forward. However that is too much to process for the geniuses in the CB.

Sounds like someone wants to volunteer their time and help the CCC
I'm sure all those involved are from clubs but we are in a pandemic and limited time
Its easy to look in from the outside
If I'd time I'd like to help but sure who has the time?
