Sounds like someone wants to volunteer their time and help the CCC
I'm sure all those involved are from clubs but we are in a pandemic and limited time
Its easy to look in from the outside
If I'd time I'd like to help but sure who has the time?
It doesn't take much time or volunteering to realise that Sundays are dreadful for league matches with all players agreeing on this. Fair enough sunday championship games are alright

As we know the county board are stubborn and this wont change anytime soon, as soon as things are back to normal, they could be in for a shock as we could see lads wanting away to travel which will damage the club game. I know the likes of St Pats suffered a few years back with lads going away. We definitely need to accommodate our club players now, change the day of games and let them enjoy their weekends.

Antrim play senior football on a Wednesday night, which sounds better to me. I think it was the same for championship games too, I think there was a penalty shoot out at near 11pm last year.

It’s a bit obnoxious to think people have nothing better to do on any Sunday for the whole of summer than committing a fair amount of time to what is ultimately a hobby.
Don’t think a Wednesday would be great, maybe ok for local derbies but wouldn’t suit lads working in Dublin to get away up to play Maghery or someone.

that’s a fairly niche problem I must say. How many players you reckon are doing that? Do these players train during the week? The train goes on past Newry you know, it stops at portadown as well.

We expect reserves to be able to play during the week and most teams train during the week, so it’s really a mental block rather than any actual logistical problem. I’m not even really the biggest fan of it, only pointing out how it’s another option to consider once we all agree sundays are a waste of everyone’s time.

I’d say there is a fairly significant amount. A lot if not the majority of footballers work at a building trade of some description and I’d say the majority of construction workers in the county are working in and around Dublin.

I know a lad from Carrickcruppen, says his club feel hard done by with no promotion/relegation from the leagues that have rolled over from last year as they didnt lose a game, which is definitely a change for cruppen considering their losing streak not so long ago, obviously it was hard to call what way things were going to play out. But feels a waste with all the hard work put in not to reward teams. Anyone elses club in the same position?

Dunno why there complaining, if it had of been a new year all on zero points, theyd be near relegation to junior!

Sure their points still carry over and the 2020 league is getting finished now. They should still go up!

No, do they think they should have been promoted or something?

Not sure you’re correct there. The finishing of last years league / rolling 2020 into the 2021 league is fair on all teams. Those at the top of their respective leagues carry on their advantage and those at the bottom have ample opportunity to get out of jail.

At this stage those of us in the junior division would just like to see ANY fixtures.... We're now going into Tuesday, with the top and bottom halves already decided nearly a fortnight ago and still NO fixtures. 5 days before Sunday... This is an absolute shambles, a disgrace and a disservice to the clubs in the Junior tier

Is the 12th fortnight not a closed period to suit holidays

The weekend past was closed, yes. We received our fixture list on Tuesday, 5 days before our next game, whereas all other divisions received theirs in advance of the break, as well as rumours from CB that all junior fixtures might be put back a week which ultimately hasn't happened. I appreciate there was a split in the junior but the teams were confirmed a couple of weeks ago so imo we should have been given our fixtures at the same time as the rest of the county to prepare and arrange things appropriately
