Due to numerous Division 1 games being called off with Covid several teams will now go approximately 5-6 weeks without a game (during the best weather of the year) then they will play 3 games before another 5 week break to championship, surely the county board will look to bring forward the championship dates?
With regards to games being called off with Covid was the rule last year not that you had to have 5+ positive cases before a game was called off?

Yes, it was 5+ last year.

Most of this years have been an excuse. End of story.

Belleek called our game off last weekend and then played 2 games in 5 days….

Covids a handy excuse to get an important game postponed for a few weeks if you have a few injuries to key personnel. Questions have to be asked if you call off a senior league game and put it down to Covid yet your senior team train away as normal that weekend anyway....

Are there protocols regarding club teams and covid? Are squads tested regularly or what’s the story?

As @Kick er in says, if a club wants a game postponed, they might do that if there are no “official“ testing.

There are protocols for clubs to follow
Squads are not tested unless covid case(s) and whatever medical persons determine

Have the CB released 2022 league fixtures yet or at the minimum a definite start date?
its not fair on clubs not having this available by at least the end of January

My understanding is that the county board (consisting of all club reps and not just the executive members) discussed this at a meeting and gave an indicative date based on the master fixtures list [that was widely circulated on social media]. I'm damned if I can find it right now though.

It was either the weekend immediately before or after Easter I think?
