Eire Og took some beating yesterday surprised as Middletown had a largely depleted side with first holy communion on.
they didnt look depleted to me, all their recognisable players from recent encounters were playing and they had at least 10 on the sideline. The match was moved back a couple of hours to accommodate the communion

Sorry must had my wires crossed just seen the score and cousin child communion was on thought it would have been a weak enough team out. 3.30 wouldn't have been much of an accommodation. Fair play to them for focusing and getting the result. Was it a good game?

They were offered Friday, Saturday and the later time so I think it was a fair enough accommodation to be honest. Didnt hear much chat from their players about a communion, just about the Armagh hurling match, which I found odd when it affected so many players. They played well and Eire Og didnt and Middletown were deserving winners

Éire Óg and Forkhill was Abandoned with 7 minutes to play and Éire Óg one up coming back from 6 down at HT. This was due to one of the forkhill players breaking his leg after blocking the ball. Hope he has a speedy recovery from all of us at Éire Óg.
