1) Harps playing 2 sweepers with the breeze at their backs was horrible to watch, (2) playing lennon so far out the field and at times one and on a rare occasion only 2 men in the opponents half. (3) conceding 4-17 when playing with a 2 sweeper system, yes alot of scores came as the harps chased the game but they were chasing the game because of the failure of the system. (4) playing 2nd choice keeper who was nervous as hell under a high ball, and who was to blame for 1 if not 2 goals, and who kicked numerous balls over the sidine, while leaving a County keeper kicking his heels on the bench.
Yes Harps scored 21 points but it was against a team who are at the bottom end of the table for a reason,
Conceding 4-17 clearly showed that the system the harps played was a failure. It will be interesting to see if it's a lesson learned
Harps are also at the bottom end for a reason

Wise up... if Rian hadn't of started the whole lot there wouldn't of been anything. He's a lad that needs to wise up coming into the championship, he'll be a miss for cross if he continues with his actions...
And he was playing some football until that incident, teams know he is too easily winded up

I'd take issue with your blame of the 'system'. From a Harps' perspective, we should have been leading that game by 2-13 to 0-05 at half time, rather than 0-13 to 2-05, and in such a scenario it would have been very difficult to see Clann Eireann winning the match. The fact that we didn't have a much bigger lead was down to a series of unforced errors that were central to the goal chances at either end - wrong options, misplaced passes, not shouting for a high ball. That is not the fault of the system - that is down to individual errors, and those errors will undermine any system that is played.

That said, there are lessons to be learned for the rest of the year ahead, and I'd have full confidence in our management to address those lessons.

Harps definately could have been outta sight in the first half.

To go in at HT 2 down was very flatterng to CE.

Second half was totally dominated by the Eireanns however - amazing what a little confidence does for what is (on average) a very young team.

This year CE lost a lot of tight games that they could (and maybe should) have won, so a little luck getting to HT still in touching distance is probably deserved.

Following that up on Sunday with a fine win against Cross was great. First time in a long while the Seniors have won down there from what I remember.

Wasn’t at the senior...had to leave after the intermediate game but I heard that CE played awful well and were well worth their win. We couldn’t get into the game but CE were well worth of their win

Anyone know what price Co.Board/Kieran has set for the championship games. Last year was £8 for opening games and then increased into quarters etc. Just wondering if it would be smarter to get the championship season ticket. Also just heard last night that finishing third in the group gets you another game with a second placed team to go through. Some loada balls by Co.Board/Kieran. Line the pockets

I realize you're only on to get a reaction, but nevertheless I'll bite.

The Championship proposal was made by Clann Eireann. They made a good job of presenting it to the delegates at the County Convention. The delegates liked what they heard and voted it in, albeit by a narrow margin. As I have pointed out ad nauseum, the delegates referred to are the County Board, and they of course include the 'Nab delegates.

With regard to your specific point, the team finishing third in the group does indeed get another game. That is to ensure that every group game is meaningful and that there are no dead rubbers.

The season ticket is £85 or €100.

Who is the Kieran you are referring to?
Do you not understand what group games means? If you follow soccer it happens in the champions league.
If you belong to a club and you know who your county board delegate is have a chat with that person

Some shite written in your post

Ballymacnab beat Harps 15-09 tonight. Well worth their win and tbh couldn't believe how poor the Harps were.

1 point in the 2nd half, a 21 yard free pretty much says it all about how poor the Harps were 2nd half.

We seem to be struggling with confidence, injuries, system and the basics. Ulty coming off injured at halftime will not help matters if hes going to be out for anytime.

Nab well worth their win. First half finished 8 points apiece and it really looked as if it was all to play for but we totally lost our way in the second half, registering only one point from a free. The Nab dominated midfield and I felt that was the basis for their victory.

Fair play to the Nab. Have played some lovely stuff when I’ve seen it - hope they win the league
