Im sure will name a squad thur
Just wondering should we continue holding our breath!!

In all seriousness though, do we not (all counties - even them'uns) just name a panel of maybe 30 players and then name a team on the day for this competition and then just add whoever we need depending on the game.

How do we see the group stage going?

First up against St. Mary's. Depending on who they have and who we play this could be a good start to the preseason. It'd be good to get going on a positive and "should" be a win. With an Armagh man looking after St. Mary's and an all Ireland winner, it won't be easy, especially as he'll know a lot of the youngsters having coached them as minors.
Prediction - win

The game against Antrim will be a quandary. Reports are that they're weak and in disarray. Seems the Casement "lack of" development has left them underwhelmed and depressed ;). If on the other hand, it's a ploy to lull teams in, then we'll end up as usual either scrapping for a win/draw or will destroy them and rack up a good score difference, making the semis a high possibility.
Prediction - win

Final group game against Monaghan will allow us to see where we are at this stage against one of the top teams in Ulster at the minute. Presuming they have everybody available to them, they'll most likely go strong as it would be a winner takes all game with the win putting that team into the semis as I'd guess we'll both have two from two (and assuming my other two predictions are correct) and most likely first and second place in this group should/could both qualify. This is a tough game, but we could get close.
Prediction - loss

Hard to know how this will go. Teams are sure to be weakened, us included. So just depends how we gel.

McK cup is good though for blowing off the Xmas cobwebs, and getting away from the missus after being seeing too much of her over Xmas :D

So hopefully we’ll find a few new players and get a game or two extra. The more occasions to get our holes froze aff, the better.
