1-7 is the easy part

Hughes
Morgan
McKay
Hughes
Shields
Donaghy
Forker

After that it’s difficult. 2 from Grimley Sheridan and ONeill for midfield. And then the forwards are hard to pick but very difficult to leave out Clarke murnin and Campbell. Grugan will start so you’ve got about 7 players going for the other 2 places. A good position to be in
I think that 1-7 is pretty accurate. Though I could see Burns possibly starting instead of Hughes. Could Kennedy also start at full back? McCabe has also started in the Championship for us. Midfield has more possibilities. I think we'd all say that Grimley should start. Sheridan has been ever present for the past couple of seasons, but is a player that divides opinion. Personally I think he gets through a tonne of work, that doesn't do anything fancy but is one of those players that is noticed more when not playing. McGeeney seems to like him and he's always game. Oisin O'Neill and Ethan Rafferty are serious options too and depending on when they make it back from injury, they would come into the reckoning. But if they don't get much game time before Championship, I don't think you can throw them into Championship football. Charlie Vernon is another player that shouldn't be forgotten and could easily start. So at the moment, I'd say that Sheridan is the front runner to partner Grimley.

The half forward line also has places up for grabs. Rory Grugan is a cert to start. We've seen Hall and McShane as the wing forwards through much of the McKenna Cup and imagine we'll see them start in the league. They have pace and get up and down the field which is the role of a modern wing forward. Again, I think that Rafferty and O'Neill would be possibilities here if McGeeney wants to add more height around that part of the field. We've also seen Aidan Forker play in the half forwards, which is a possibility if someone else comes into contention in the half back line.

The full forward line will no doubt be made up of Clarke, Campbell and then one from the likes of Andrew Murnin and Rian O'Neill. I think we have the ability swap players around and there is flexibility in positions. Someone like Ethan Rafferty could play from midfield all the way up to full forward. Rory Grugan can play in the full forward line. Rian O'Neill can play at centre half forward. We've seen Campbell in the half forwards too. This is what makes it difficult to nail down a potential team.

But from the squad pf players we have I think that with everyone being fit and in form Blaine Hughes, Morgan, Shields, Donaghy, Forker, Grimley, Grugan, Clarke and Campbell would be as closed to the starting 15 as possible at the moment.

Just rewatched. We left that behind a bit. Missed some handy chances.
Tyrone got a lot easy frees and the ref fell for their antics a few times.
Can’t fogur out why Morgan got his first yellow. Second yellow was harsh.

I know the feeling. I’ve never watched the 03 final or 05 semi again.

A few times on TV I’ve nearly had the misfortune of seeing Canavan lifting Sam in 03, but I always manage to poke myself in the eyes just in time to avoid it.

So many times now I’ve walked into a door straight afterwards, that people think Mrs M is bating the shite out of me!

Ditto, it will be a bitterly cold day in hell before I watch either of those matches ever again.

My overriding memory of the 05 semi final is of Owen "Mugsy, of course this is my natural hair colour" Mulligan & Peter "the bald one" Canavan doing their best Chuckle brothers impression over the free awarded at the end for the jersey pull. "No I'll take it " "no I'll take it", "no I'll take it", "no I'll take", "ach well sure alright you take it" JUST KICK THE BL**DY BALL :mad::mad::mad::mad:

The worse thing was, it shouldn’t have been a free!

At least 4 of that 15 will not play against Kildare. If they did not play in McKenna cup they cannot be ready to play in the league this weekend.
