Have to say that I agree with Geezers assessment of pre-season tournaments. I like his longer National League, home and away game idea.

Just in general Pat. Last night was just a bit pronounced at half time when they were doing that £100 draw thingy and he loves the sound of his own voice, but he just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Last night wasn't as bad as some, but what other ground do we have to sit through 30 minutes of just reading the teams out and we all know we're not allowed to stand in the aisles or in front of the control room or leave the car park - you've been there and know what I mean!!!

Hmm sounds familiar. Have to say though, I tend to zone out after a few seconds. There’s only so much yakking in your ear that you can take.

Maybe it’s just me though and my short attention sp... Oh, Eastenders!

Clarke is suspended for Sunday and I'm sure the players from Antrim game not involved like hall and mini will come back in sunday

Oh yeah and what was annoying: Please please please someone from county reading these - we know who you are, switch off the announcer after 3 seconds. We have travelled for years to every ground in the country that some of our teams have played in and never ever do we get lectured to like that. For heavens sake please make the announcement in Irish and then English, surely, but leave it at that and turn the damn thing down a bit. Listen in other grounds that are just as respectful to our native language including Croke Park to how it can be done. We're there to enjoy a game, not get earache. It's the biggest complaint I hear at the best stadium in Ulster. Not everyone is bloody deaf
What did you say?

A point well made as usual Calm.
But what to do about this verbosity?
Well, storming the control room and grabbing control of the mic is maybe a bit too radical. How about a few strategically placed posters such as "Cead Mile Focail" or as Ronan Keating would say " You say it best when you say nothing at all. "
Have just thought of a way of combining those two but dont want to be too rude.

Competition rules and not like standard competitions or so it was said Wednesday after game if anyone heard interviews after match

Enjoyed the game Wednesday some good move in second half!
Concerned about the mobility and speed at midfield and half back! The ability to run directly and at high speed in this sector is really important! Additionally the need to track runners from deep is also key. We are missing a player type that the top counties seem to have O,Connell- Monaghan,
McCann-Tyrone,
McHugh - Donegal
McCraffey- Dublin

At this stage I don’t believe we have this within our ranks! We do seem to have a lot of good running half forwards is there someone in that group who could be developed???
