Dr. McKenna Cup 2019

Glad to see pace at half forward. Better that playing midfield type players as wing half forwards, which doesn’t suit Armagh or modern game. Grimley MOTM proves case in point. Better than playing him midfield than at 10/12. Would say same for Crealey and possibly Jarlath Og - midfielders not half forwards. Need pace of a Jamar Hall or McShane to frighten defences and make them think. Square pegs, round holes and all that.....

Soupy with another great scoring return, Rory Grugan had a great game after being relatively quiet so far this year and Niall Grimley a good performance to show hopefully he can prove his doubters wrong. Good performance all in all but need to stress that Donegal weren’t at full strength but team are still gelling so things will only get better

Would be nice to win that! Would anticipate a good crowd if it were to be at the Athletic Grounds. God turnout for Monaghan game, and main stand would definitely be full for the diving midgets game.

Even God can't save the diving midgets now :) Think a lot of East Tyrone folk would prefer Armagh as well.

Good win and a good crowd at the match. I thought we played better in the first half. We gave away a very soft goal, Donegal height & Athelticism were causing us a few problems. Second half we were a bit too defensive in my opinion and played far too deep, very slow at times to get up and support o neill & Clarke. I thought Jamie played really well today with limited ball, likewise Mc shane, Campbell & Hall put in gr8 shifts. Grimley did well in mf, we need a partner for him though. I’m still not sure who our best option for fb is? Bring on Tyrone, hopefully it’s in the AG. I thought first half we wre gr8 pushing up and putting pressure on their kick outs, we seemed to stop doing this in second half. Anyway I enjoyed the game, well done Armagh

Final is 730 Saturday according to programme today. Either ground will be full and I expect omagh and ag were 2 venues earmarked for it all along.

I think burns & hughes will strengthen that defense and what another great game from oldest man on pitch Brendan Donaghy breaking up play and a few vital tackles especially the last one when they looked a very to score equaliser. Think another hf is needed as not sure of mini and hall in all games with Grugan.

A good win and a decent performance. We have loads of potential in the forward line but need to be more positive and get all of the forwards 40 yards closer to goals. Frustrating to see a lot of our forwards spending large parts of the game inside our own '45'.

We still have plenty of lads to come in:

- Paul Hughes, burns, McKay. McCabe only came off the bench. Is Ciaran Higgins in the panei
- oisin O'Neill, crealey, Rafferty.
- murnin
