Worry for me is how short of options we were. That bench was very weak and we lost donaghy now as well. Any idea on the lads missing murnin burns shields Hughes etc

Thought Armagh did rightly, if we played Tyrone last year we’d have been beat out the gate. We lacked composure ate key times, Grimley play v well but tends to miss when the pressures on. Grugan needs to be taken off penalty duty. Couple of strange calls on the line, why the hell did he take Clarke off, was causing them loads of problem. O Neill played rightly second half. Soupy drifted out of it second half. We need a midfield partner for Grimley. Biggest problem is goal keeper, kick outs v poor again, I thought Morgan was the difference vetwen the 2 teams, gr8 kick outs and composure on the ball, started countless attaches. Anyway lots of positives to take down to Kildare next week. Fantastic crowd for McKenna cup. Charging kids in is bad craic though!!!

Incredibly unfair some of the criticism... Armagh has chances to win... you’d think we were beat by 30 points again.

Armagh have managed to get the players out... it’s great to see them back. We reached the final and beaten by a more clinical Tyrone team... missed penalty from grugan who was quiet, Grimley missed a bad free under pressure but was excellent throughout the game.
Boys saying burns, hall etc aren’t county standard... burns is a young lad and a very good young lad at that. If you can’t play him in the Mckenna cup- when can you blood him?
I’ve been critical of hall in the past... was excellent last week, mcshane was excellent against antrim and Donegal... you can’t be good all the time.

As for the bench, mcaughley hadn’t played a game and came in and played well, McElroy came on and played well, I’d have vernon starting in the middle. Sheridan is ok but seems to run aimlessly for half an hour before kicking a point which keeps him in for the next day, loses his man a lot, mcquillan is young but a class act and so is Jason Duffy. Unfair to say the panel isn’t strong and competition for places isn’t there. Add in the injury list... it is not bad at all.

Hard to argue with the foul count... mcquillan was harsh but some of Armagh’s tackling was awful... and has been. Achilles heel, missing placed balls when it counts.

But very positive so far this year... I’d take a win next week over a win today...

Great crowd in and great banter back and forth.

Was happy enough tonight , a year or 2 ago we'd have been hammered.
3 changes in defence didn't help, forker, Shields and kennedy, add in paddy Burns and Paul Hughes. Ethan Rafferty not far from a return to midfield or half forward. Great to see Ross McQuillan back,
add Murnin and Oisin O'Neil into that forward line and there's a serious panel taking shape, Tyrone are a lot further down the road than us.
Our Keepers poor distribution does really worry me though, yes we can talk about lack of movement but he looks so nervous and anxious with ball at feet that I hate to see us getting a kick out, saying that if you look at tonight Morgan at the other end has had a lot more time and a vastly experienced more team to work with at his end so hopefully it comes. but I'm just not confident unfortunately. Saying that
I'm looking forward to the league, things are definitely on the up

Some of our ‘fans’ are a joke. Bunch of lads round me absolutely hammered and drinking straight from a bottle of whiskey or Morgan’s spice. One fell and knocked my 5 year old nephew over. Apologies to anyone who seen a rather irate red bearded guy remonstrating with them but it really pissed me off. Have a drink if you want but ffs grow up

Great to be giving Tyrone a match again! Could have won that game - penalty was bizarre! Surely he wasn't going for a point?? Ref was very poor (as expected from Joe) but our tackling is as bad as I've ever seen. Right from the off with Mackin's yellow after 3 mins. We really need to work on this.
