Because not one club put forward a motion to keep the knockout championshipNo idea why they would go that way when the knockout championship has been so entertaining
Maybe the gap between league and championship is too great for potentially one game. A local club to me had their second last league game, a 4 week gap, their last league game, and a 5 week gap to championship last year. That's no good for any player! (albeit an exception probably, but it can and does happen)No idea why they would go that way when the knockout championship has been so entertaining
Scheduling issues, also the fact some divisions last year had 7 teams and some had 9 probably didn’t help due to covid knock on effects. No reason why leagues can’t be finished in time to give a 3 lead in to championship.Maybe the gap between league and championship is too great for potentially one game. No, expect the early few rounds to be Sundays but from May / when it’s bright enough onwards they should be Fridays.Anyone who if it’s reverting back to majority Sunday matches this year?
Think so, and seeded. One from top 4, one from bottom 4 of both A & B leagues if I remember correctlyA lot of teams have big gaps between games but suppose it’s the best that can be done.
Is the championship groups of 3 again?
