Don’t think so, missing 4 of their main players and down to 14 men for 2nd half but fair play to clonmore on the win but no championship game is easy

I’m hearing Clonmore and The Clans have both booked their place in the quarter finals already as they’re guaranteed to top their groups. Assuming that means Tullysaran were beat this evening, anyone confirm?

Mullaghbawn 1-16 Tullysaran 0-10
Carrickcruppen 2-13 Middletown 3-15
Was at the Middletown v cruppen as a interesting Spectator the referee completely ruined the game. He was absolutely ridiculous both teams were confused as to what happened. He said the subs had to wear bibs. Kids were in the backfield an he said he was going to abandon the game if they came behind the net again cruppen an Middletown bench were in disarray didn't have a clue what was going on. Surely we have half sensible refs in Armagh. It's a disgrace that men train all year an then a clampit of a referee for both teams like that turn up.

A bit harsh Mickey. Obviously I wasn’t there but you point out two issues:
1. The referee asked that subs wear bibs. While many let this go he is probably right. Subs should all be in the dugout and if they come out to warm up they should have a bib.
2. Children were told to move from behind the goals. I’m assuming they were inside the field and not in a spectator area. I’d guess the referee had a reason for this request.

Other than the two issues above did he do anything deserving of your post. Like all referees I’m sure he made a few mistakes but he’ll have called it as he seen it, there’s nothing in your post to suggest he cheated anyone or favoured one side over the other.

People need to start accepting that referees aren’t perfect, they do their best and if you keep complaining they’ll quit. We have a dangerously low number of them as it stands so if you think this guy was so bad why not take up the whistle yourself and raise the average - I’m sure you’d be very good.

1 all subs, not the ones warming up had to change
2 the kids where on a different pitch

He wouldn’t let children sit on the walk along the pitch either. Heard a Cruppen player shout over to one of their supporters to get the child of the wall before he blows the game up. Apart from that he reffed the game rightly.

In my opinion he was the worse referee I've come across in armagh. An there is some bad ones. He made the game about himself. He literally made up rules said to the Middletown player you have 6 seconds to take a free then threw the ball up. He was very bad for both teams I thought... I don't know what Armagh are going to do if this is the type of referees we are producing literally everyone at the game was bewildered it should be about the players and the game... Serious egos

Referees come from clubs so its really up to the clubs to ask and encourage guys to take it.on.
Its a job no one wants to do but without them we dont have games.
Maybe more younger referees are needed first.....
