As a complete neutral, the ref has had a complete nightmare in the clanns shanes game. Some unbelievable calls for both sides. Clanns subs at ht made the difference. Shanes lost the run of themselves halfway through the second half and never recovered.

Strange game altogether. Still not sure how we won it in the end. Shane's should have been 6/7 up at HT. We gave them far too much room all over the pitch but they couldn't punish us. We made a few changes at HT which gave us more flow and a few more threatening options going forward. I agree the ref was poor for both. Allowed Shane's to be cynical all game on and off the ball. Umpire as always done nothing to draw his attention to the pulling and digging off the ball. Linesman had to correctly call him over to award a 21 yard free to us instead of a 60 yard one. From where I was it's looked like Shane's should have had a free in front of the goals then as the play progressed it looked like a man was taken out in the box. Neither was given and we went down the pitch and scored from the turnover. We finished the stronger of the two sides but there is a lot of work to do. But a wins a win.

Tullysaran got out of jail tonight with their 1 point win against Blackwater, have to give a special mention to the referee who in my opinion gave the most 1 sided performance I have seen in a long long time, is he always that bad or does he just not have a clue or does he always pick a team and side with them? Can any neutrals at the game give their thoughts on it or am I wrong? A wins a win and glad to get out with it

Great game in abbey park APM unlucky not to get at least extra time . saran players done alot of mouthing at the ref he just moved the ball up could have cost them the game .

Yes the ball was moved forward a few times but since when was 40yards the new distance, the equaliser for Blackwater was moved from the corner flag to the edge of the big square and it should have been a free out as the full back was pushed in the back and he didn't give it! Another grip I have and most refs are guilty of this is a keeper coming off his line to save a penalty and not being pulled, the bwt keeper was at the edge of the wee square and saved what was a poorly hit shot but the ref was there and didn't call it! Bit or a rant but at least it's a win

Yes, but were you wearing your invisibility cloak at the time?

Hmm, I’m not sure how I feel about that. More than the allocated 400 could have been there. Could there be ramifications with the head honchos over that?

Mind you, seen a bit of Kilcoo Mayobridge on TG4 earlier. Someone must have farted at both ends of the stand, because supporters were practically on top of each other around the half way line.

I thought by watching it, it was because you all wanted to be on tv :D - Ok so we didn't get to see the other side :oops:

For what it's worth PTHBIL (not really much point shortening that one so I'll use LowBall) it was an entertaining game without being good, if you get me. Genuinely had no idea who would win it like a proper "whodunnit??" How your keeper managed to pick out a clans man twice in succession near the end to gift them the scores they needed I'll never know. If Soupy had his shooting boots, another point would have been flattering to the scoreline, but as I said an entertaining game. Just didn't get the second half of the previous game I was watching for - kidding of course as I actually thought the ref was gonna ruin it at one stage by being too fussy with both teams. Good hard hitting football without being pretty. I enjoyed it so thanks to both teams, especially on what looked to be a hot evening.

Was at game and never really noticed referee bar last free APM got which I definitely thought was a free out. Tullysaran didn't do themselves any favours with him though with almost constant yapping. APM will feel they threw it away but overall a very disappointing game of football.
