It’s a pity the county board didn’t see it worthy enough to write an article on the final for the county website! Nothing since the quarter finals!
Junior Club football isn’t high up the list of priorities I guess.
Best of luck to both teams today.
To be fair the programme was quite good with a great pice written by Paddy Savage from Cullyhanna and Armagh tv

It's a pity the first round of Ulster wasn't moved to the Athletic Grounds as with no disrespect to Glenavy their facilities not as good as Corrigan Park. I'd the game going out live on Armagh TV?

Having been to Corrigan Park several times over the last couple of years and Glenavy earlier this year for McKenna cup I'd have to disagree with that. Corrigan Park is just grass banks and only half way on one side. Glenavy has a concrete pathway and proper fencing.

It's a home game for the Antrim team so they wouldn't be designating Armagh or giving up that home game and in all honesty why should they. It's really easy to get to as well.

Armagh tv don't cover those games. If memory serves correct they've only ever covered the senior hurling final a couple of years back. Don't remember them ever doing any of the football, but open to correction on that. It's usually on TG4 if it's on at all.

Can't argue with that I suppose! Having a concrete path and proper fencing doesn't really beat a ground that has a proper stand that is covered for those spectators who turn up to witness two County Champions who will play in whatever elements that is thrown at them. Glenavy seems a bit too open that's all but haven't been in Glenavy in years so what would I know. If it was in Armagh the game would have been properly recorded to watch at a later date! Anyway the game is in Antrim so l let's hope the best team wins!

I wasn't comparing it to Armagh. I think that's pretty obvious. If it was a home game for you and Ulster decided to move it Owenbeg just because it's a better facility, you'd be delighted with that! Of course not. You'd be complaining you lost a home game. You wouldn't be the first. I'd concentrate more on winning rather than the venue. Regardless of where it is, it'll be played on a field marked out for the game. Players don't give a hoot about what view people have.
As for the recording, regardless of where it is, the recording presumably will be the same as there's always cameras at any Ulster games I've been to and again presumably whatever the criteria for delivery of those is, that'll be the same no matter what the venue. Corrigan Park doesn't have any cover either.

Never been to Owenbeg! Must check that out! If the pitch is good that's all the players want along with good shower facilities though but I'm only speaking the obvious! I am looking at it from a supporters point of view! Come Sunday if the weather is good there won't be a problem. Of course that may not be the case....

I'd definitely be bringing a good waterproof coat of some type. Don't think the forecast is great to be honest. It's not that far from me so I'll most likely take a run up to it too. I'd be bringing an umbrella, but looks like it might just be too breezy for that.

All joking and slagging aside, all the very best for Sunday. Hopefully the celebrating has ended and the serious work is being done. Over the last couple of years the Armagh representatives haven't done too well in first round games. It'd be cool to get an Ulster title to start with. Those Lisburn lads will be in the same position as they haven't had too many county titles lately. Enjoy the occasion.

It should be a great occasion alright! Hope that big ball in the sky turns up though!

I'll second that - thankfully and unbelievably no one was hurt too bad from reports. Obviously some guy tried to do a good turn with that contraption - a case of lesson learned hopefully!

collegeland play next saturday in crossmaglen as a double header with the grange game as far as i know
Seems that way bull. That'll be a great auld afternoon. Think I'll take a wee day down to it. Great craic at the game today despite horrible conditions. Even the rain got soaked!
I see Collegeland must have brought their own camera to the game as I'm almost sure it was the young lass you see in the Athletic grounds recording the game. I didn't think Ulster allowed that.

I thought Collegeland had to go to Donegal next?

Good idea taking Galbally to South Armagh. They’ll feel intimidated in a Republican area. Grange should win that easy.
