No arguing that we lack top defenders. Easiest way to see it is by asking how many of our defence would get on for any other division 1 team, with the exception of kildare who are just up with ourselves.

For Dublin,Kerry and Tyrone it's a clear zero. For Mayo, Donegal and Monaghan you could maybe argue Forker and in years to come maybe the likes of Tiarnan Kelly, Conor O'Neill, McCambridge. Of those three only mccambridge is an out and out defender.

The remainder are all lads who were with us in division 3 and would barely get in any div 1 match day panel never mind the first 15.

I agree and therein lies the problem.

15 points win for Cavan...my god! That really opens up the semi finals. Tyrone need to win by 11 on us!

Now hang on here just a minute, I did what any good person would do in the same situation & posted the team lineout of the team that got an absolute whipping at the hands of those Cavan boys. I couldn't care less if it was their 6th string they fielded, any day Them Uns get a hiding is a good day :D That'll teach em to go on holiday before the McKenna Cup.
