After a good first half, the wides in the second half were abysmal, them fellows would normally be knocking those over. It is a bit like the seniors, the team did a lot of the hard work, but couldn't turn it into scores at the end.

There was one sequence of play that just about summed it up. We had a free-about 35 m out. Scorable , can't remember if it would put us level or ahead. Played it short to a player who basically fell over himself. Dreadful. Monaghan won like Monaghan always win. Grind it out, keep it steady, nothing special or eye catching, just keep in there

Neither team would be up to much from what iv seen, and Fitzpatrick who should be on panel is scoring goals for cross

Morgan returning from injury and playing a competitive club game today to gain match fitness that can't be achieved in a training session. It's fairly common for County lads to be released to clubs when returning to full fitness to get minutes under the belt. A bit off Senior Inter County Pace but yet again on here and all over Twitter he's 'quit'.

He was in the press box last Saturday with other injured players and again, will be in Omagh tomorrow.

This shite would drain you.

So players are released from county to play for their club to get match practice and some people write some shite that he's left the panel.
If no players that are with the county played for their club who aren't on the county match day 26 there'd be some shite about players not being released

Some people need to step back at least a week before submitting a post.

To put some context on this - his brother, a family member, has been subjected to utter drivel during the week on social media. We are all human
Lad looked like he had lost confidence taking frees, suspect on another day most of those would have gone over. Lads worked hard and looked better overall footballers than Monaghan-but the futtering among the forwards, especially in 2nd half, was grim. A few were due to bad bounces of the ball, but mostly came about from a collective panic and uncertainty. That team looked like they massively underperformed and did not do themselves justice-for whatever reason

One team loses every game. However, it is one thing to give a good account of yourself against a team from a place that God happened to put better footballers there, and sometimes games are lost on mere chance, but it must be disheartening to know that you were a good as them but did not perform.

No one on here said Morgan had quit the county

Not looking forward to tomorrow

We really should be embarrassed by the ultra negative style of play that has developed this season. It's f*cking boring and leaves a real sour taste in your mouth when you pay good money to attend a game only to watch some of the best forwards in the country play the ball backwards ad infinitum.

I am sure there are superior fans on this forum that think the current setup is just fine, but personally I can't stand the way we play football.

You do realise there's a very simple solution for you if going to the matches causes so much annoyance, don't go, simple. Save your money, sit at home & watch the matches on TV (all our league matches have been televised) if you still feel the need to watch, that would also give you an opportunity to get on social media in real time to moan & complain about how boring the match is & how much you can't stand how we play football. Or just don't watch at all & take up a hobby that will give you the enjoyment & entertainment you crave, no-one should persist with something that makes them miserable.

It's the first I've heard of players taken time out to play for their club to get match fitness that aren't in the 26

I have given up trying to figure out what our county team does. Rugby releases players back to club if they aren't coming back, we do it for fitness.
Teams talk about their players and how they are progressing, we don't.
Teams usually progress when they get a certain level - we don't.
I don't like blind loyalty in a team because it removes the ability for players to adapt.

I just hope there is some method in the madness here.

Dreadful performance last week. It has triggered a lot of negativity. But a lot more invented negativity seems to have piled on in recent days. Let’s get back to what we really care about.

We want to stay in Division 1. I think Mayo will do that for us but let’s play some football and take care of own business and our own game. Discipline, composure and trust our forwards.
