So the Armagh team release the info about Rian being out for six weeks and then release a team that has him named in it. I find that pretty obstinate and a little disrespectful to the fans to be honest.

I really don't think obstinate is the word you were looking for here

As for being disrespectful to the fans?!?!!! You're obviously not on here much or you'd know the running joke for the last number of years on the forum has always been that the named team won't start.
We've all read that Rian is out injured, if this is management's idea of mind games for the opposition I'm all for it, leave Them Uns guessing until the last minute. I don't expect to see Rian play any part tomorrow but I'll be absolutely delighted if he does :D

So it turns out there has been a mix-up, he did pick up a knock, but has been to Knock, and is now fine. McGeeney has been seen chowing down on a stick of rock today from the Mayo village which has confirmed it.

Actually I feel ok about the game. Slightly nervous but it feels a bit like the night before a proper championship knock out game although there's more at stake for us. The sideshows are making me look forward to the football.

I think this will be a different game than we have faced to date partially because they are safe and our need to win.

It will be the biggest test of our defence individually rather than as a collective as I think they will try to get the ball inside quickly. They are also likely to engage us physically further up the field which should suit us as it may lead to more scoring opportunities.

Imperative we win this game as it can be a huge moment providing us a platform going into the championship series and the rest of the season.

C'mon Armagh!

Best of luck to the lads today, and whatever happens let's have no regrets or what it's. A win will be a major lift heading into the championship
