I think so much of our inconsistencies lies with not having a firm starting 15. Certainly confuses me when it comes to our style of plan and game plan.

No disrespect to Crealy or Mackin but not the midfield I would be starting with. Evident tonight that we were lacking a target man in the full forward line, albeit Grugan, Soupy and Forker did well to try breakdown a Louth defence with Mickey Hartes stamp all over it.

I'd like to have seen McConville get 10minutes of play and for Grimley or Oisin to have been introduced a bit sooner to contest the opposition kick out.

Ref was a bit inconsistent but we did also get a number of questionable decisions in our favour.

A poor display tonight but does need to be seen within the context of missing Rian, Murnin, TK, Duffy, Nugent to name a few.

Plenty of work to be done, but it's only January.

When we went 2 points up by pressing their kick out you just bloody knew they’d stop doing that and let them back in it.

Players done well to scrap for a win there but the instructions from the line look to be the same again this year. What’s the saying about keep trying the same thing and expecting different results?

What can I say, that was a hard watch, on a positive we won, Campbell and crealy played well, way too many players not on it at all, the fact that we had 2 half backs in the forward line showed we didnt have enough shooters on the field, I think grugan was brutal today, that was a soul destroying game,

After geezer taking a pop at armagh fans expectations during the week a lot more was expected.
Personally im not expecting armagh to win an all ireland, what i do expect is for us to play some kind of decent football and not the absolute shite we are being fed at the minute. I really really hope that was just a rusty early season there at the office but going on previous seasons we are just set to see another frustrating season under a manager that should not be so comfortable in his job

That comment from him was a disgrace imo,

Really, really poor. Slow, ponderous, everyone having to bounce and solo rather than move the ball when breaking from defence. If Mulroy has shooting boots on we're beat and rightly so.
Every time we go ahead we retreat back. So nervy looking as usual when ahead. Same old, same old at the end, hanging on for dear lives and panic everywhere including the line.
A number of players nowhere near it at this level and individual brilliance from Soupy saved our skins.

Positives = 2 points and can't get any worse.. I hope.

I half understand the tactics in first half against the wind but with the wind we should of been more attacking, I don't understand dropping off the kick out in second half, and some of our tackling was poor, I just hope we improve because that's as poor as the Monaghan match for me, I dunno if we have to blame mcgeeney or blame the other coaches like McKeever who looks after the defensive stuff,

Thought we were awful, slow ponderous and sideways passing all evening.
Hats off to grugan and Campbell as they really stepped up tonight but jeez it was a hard watch .
Can’t understand Jemar getting on in front of Cian given that Cian really showed up in pre season

He didn’t have a pop ffs. It was tongue in cheek. If you read the programme today you’d have seen his true thoughts on our fans

Would disagree that Armagh are good on the counter attack. It’s slow as can be even with the wind. I counted 4 turnovers inside the opposition 45m line that resulted in 0 return. The best teams are netting 2 or 3 of those. Also heard booing of armagh players for playing backwards against a strong wind, thought it was pathetic. That said dire performance and the 2 points papers a lot of cracks.
