Unfortunately am abroad and didn’t get to see the game folks

Who was man of the match ?
From listening to the game on the socials, Conaty was the stand out.

Really hope mcgeeney brings the young lad on this year and gives him more exposure to championship/competitive football. Have been watching him play the past few years for club and county and the lad has serious potential and still very young.

Oisin Conaty with the man of the match award.

Where we good or Meath bad is the question I was asking myself on the trip home. If after 20 minutes you said we would win easy I would a laughed but a few quick passes , opening space and bang we are on fire

Agree conaty and mcconville were excellent when they were given the ball. Refreshing to see them take on their man. 1st half was a poor watch, rerun of last week. Meath seemed to get scores they got very easy, 2 passes and over the bar. We laboured and keep in touch with frees.

Pace of transition would still be a concern, but much better and more clinical in second half. That said Meath are brutal, I’ll be amazed if they survive in the division. I thought O Neill & Jarly made a huge difference when they came o. I’d like to see the latter get a start in MF. Well done Armagh

Good to have mcKay back and hope the injury wasn't bad
I was one of the last to leave the grounds tonight, and on my way out heading towards the gate I spotted McKay outside the clubhouse and he was still signing childrens jerseys yet to get to the changing room, he’s a credit especially after going off with a bit off a niggle, hopefully it isn’t too bad and clears up soon. A great win, and delighted to see Cian getting on the scoreboard

Good win and certainly some improvement from last week. 2 games and 2 wins puts us in a good position but still plenty of work to do.

Won't comment on the match itself. But interesting to see that after a good win the usual critics aren't out in force yet.

Interesting point about tonight. A lot of pundits go crazy about teams pressing the kickout and how it must be done to be successful
In the first 15 Armagh heavily pressed Meaths kickout and Meath got 3 good points directly from winning these long ones with Armagh badly exposed.
4-2 behind and Armagh totally
Changed their tactics. Gave Meath the kickout and dropped off.
The game flipped on its head. Meath proved totally unable to break down Armaghs defense. Armagh forced numerous turnovers and destroyed Meath on the break.
Certain tactics despite what many think are not the optimal strategy 100 percent of the time and praise should be given to Armagh for altering things during play and changing the course of the match.

That game was very strange but definitely an improvement from last week, think we where slow and ponderous in first 20 minutes and relied on free kicks to keep in touch, they also had a guilt edge chance for a goal only for the player to slip, they tested us with long balls and McKay seemed to struggle with these, but after 20/25 mins we took control, and kicked some great scores, good performers for me where crealy, burns, McCabe, conaty and mcconville, thought McKay and soupy struggled today, in saying that it was good to see McKay back because he is a solid performer even if today wasn't his best, I thought Conor O'Neill played very well today too, think he moved back to half back, 2 wins from 2 with an improvement in performance and more room to improve, players to come back and young lads putting their hand up, all in all we could be in a worse position
