I am the first to come on here and give you when its bad, so credit where credit is due. I know you can only beat whats infront of you, but armagh were fantastic yesterday. They were really on it and from about 5 minutes into the game the let Kildare know there was nothing in it for them.

Think we go into next weeks game as underdogs to donegal. At this stage of who we have available and playing regularly. Although nobody was poor today i don't think paddy burns is up to it anymore, purely from the point of view that i dont think he is nimble enough for this level any more
I'd have to disagree with you big time , I thought he was excellent yesterday and when he plays we are always stronger in defence he might have limations going forward but hes always available and is a very good man marker .

Why would you feel sorry for them? I honestly do not understand this
For my part-I don't feel sorry for Kildare during any game against us. I'm hoping we win every battle when playing them. But away from that, I am sorry to see Kildare in such a bad state. I think that is what Diarmi is saying also. The Leinster championship needs a good Kildare team and when they are going well, their support brings a lot of atmosphere and excitment.
Probably not the thread-but a word to our Ladies team, ripping it up in Div 1 with excellent win over Meath

I don't know really other than always having a soft spot for them. They have had some brilliant players over the years Martin Lynch, Glen Ryan, Dermot Early and Johnny Doyle to name just a few and always seem to play an attractive style of football. Maybe they are too nice which is what their chairman was saying.

and a gold medal for an Armagh man in the swimming world championships ( sometimes hes Armagh / sometimes hes Down) if he keeps winning we will claim him . Good weekend all in all .

Kildare are in a bad bad way, they’d struggle to stay in Division 3 the way they’re playing at the minute. There’s still hope for Cork that they can survive, probably come down to the last game of the league against us whether they go up or down.
Disappointing as I was expecting both to add some spice to division 2 before the league started. Works in our favour that’s we can afford to experiment in a weaker division 2.

Kildare have the raw materials to be far better than what they are but that's on them, Armagh are beating them without getting anywhere near the underage success so shows we are doing something right, I thought Peter McGrane has slotted in well without much fuss, another great addition for us, would like to see Sean McCarthy maybe get a run at some point as I think he has everything to succeed at county level, but all in all we have an very good and big squad which we are using and using well at the moment, the fact we can leave Rian O'Neill out and also Nugent shows the depth we have, grugan was off at half time was that due to injury? It was good to see tiernan Kelly get back on for some minutes another top talent, I probably sound like a clan eireann man here lol, would of liked more time with oisin on the field but maybe we are still easing him in which I can understand, all on all nothing to complain about with Armagh ATM, keep improving and using the squad while also slowly getting minutes into regular starters legs, would like to see more of mcpartlan too

Handy day at the office, serious bench too. Quick mention to Connaire Mackin, thought he had a great game, moving really well and looking as fit as he's been in a few years. Probably on nobody's starting 15 on here, but its boys like him that create competition and push others to another level so fair play to him for sticking with. McIlroy, Paddy Burns and Blaine fall into a similar category to a lesser extent. All in all very positive.

Sunday is the big one. A barometer of where we are at. Louth we looked a bit undercooked, and Meath and Kildare offered absolutely nothing. So to be honest, I couldn't even call what way I think Sunday will go. We have a few players now back from injury/being given game time. So I'd be hopeful we would put in a good showing against Donegal. Really looking forward to it.

Never seen the game yesterday but it was a serious score and I have seen really Armagh teams struggle to get points from tricky away games. I am hoping we have turned a bit of a corner.

However the real tests lie ahead lads, Donegal will be the true litmus test and I really hope Armagh are out to lay down a marker. The crowd will be back buzzing and fully behind the lads but surely they have to give it a massive go and not revert back to the slow build up game riddled with mistakes. Donegal have players to worry about for sure but they will be equally concerns with several options Armagh have.

Really looking forward to the game now, in many ways its like a championship game as the winner will obviously be in pole positions to top the table.

Was nothing tricky about yesterday apart from getting parked.

Looking forward to the Donegal game, be a good chance to lay down a marker at home against a strong side, realistically going by the league so far there’s only 2 sides in it that deserve to be in the Sam Maguire, the rest are Tailteann level.

The hate on paddy burns is so unfair. May not be the greatest on the ball but he is one of the best one on one defenders in the game and the best in the county by a far stretch. So important to this team and I don’t think there’s anyone out there who can replace him

As many have said already, yesterday was so easy as Kildare were terrible. But - we were very good, and lots of squad members are showing up really well. Blainne has been excellent and so has McElroy. Both Mackins were very good yesterday as was Conaty and Turbitt.
On the downside, I feel that Murnin's best days are behind him and he may be at best an impact sub. And while Soupy scores well and often gets spectacular points, does he have it in him for the full game? Similar with Grugan - a lovely player but dies he have the stamina for 70+ minutes?

Donegal will be a real test - I wonder will we go nearer a full strength team - or hold something back?
Personally I would like to see us go full pelt and build momentum (like Derry last year). Nothing beats winning!
