Baffles me people still try to down play eye gouging.
Do you reckon when Tiernan McCann stuck his finger in Stephen McMenamin eye it looked worse than it was?

Needs to be recognised for what it was, downplaying stuff like that doesn’t help the cause.

Bad date for finals with holidays, other events on plus with provincial championships starting soon the 'split season' and it's compactness makes supporters choose.

He was injured yes.

The league finals should be done away with. The attendances sadly back that up. The only reasons for keeping them as I can see, is to give the children a day out.
No one really cares who wins division 2 to 3 cups. There should be a cup for the winner of division 1 but no final. These finals are a distraction from championship.
Having said all that Ard mhachas' intention should go out tomorrow and hammer Donegal. Have the game wrapped up by half time and give game time to the subs in the 2nd half.
The division 1 final should be a good contest but only if both teams go for it and because it's a national title I think they will.
