Pure shite game outside the last 10 mins, why we went so cagey and defensive for most of the game Il never know, I really do think management overthink the big games, also think it's crazy to give a guy a debut in the league final,

Should be beating donegal - especially without McBrearty and McHugh. I'm beginning to think Armagh are cursed at Croker

Settle petals - we’re promoted and really never showed any hands there. No point in getting carried away in March. Good run out at Croke Park and no injuries I could see. Yea, it would have been good to lift a cup but move on to the bigger parish.

Why do we play so much of the game on the back foot. Either the players dont have to confidence to play ofn the front foot and attack the game in front of them or the management dont allow them too. I believe its the latter. Until we do that we wil continue to lose these big games

Nothing to do with cursed lol we played them at their defensive game same as Monaghan last year, if we had of played to our strengths we win both games

Are you telling me McGeeney wouldn't have give his left arm for that win today? A chance at silverware which he's failed to claim thus far. A chance to silence his critics, even temporarily. The momentum from that win would've done wonders for Armaghs run in Ulster.

Do not agree with the idea that since we’re promoted sure today didn’t matter, would’ve been nice to be the team with silverware for once and starting the year off on a high, but again we’re the team going into the changing rooms deflated after another one point loss

Ah I totally disagree OIF
Another 1 point loss has to hurt the players
A Great chance to get a win in Croker and build the confidence.
A typical McGeeney curve ball throwing that young lad McMullan in for the final when he had an abundance of experienced men to pick from.
They only really played the last 10 when he actually put the strongest team on.
That loss hangs on McGeeney. Too many silly mind games.

That’s a damning indictment on the mentality of this team. The set up or individual players didn’t matter today, it was a big game and our lads dirtied the trunks as they do every time the pressures on. Don’t be surprised if we take Down for granted and they come out and turn us over in ulster.

Jason Duffy, Ross McQuillan and Aidan Nugent. Three men who won an Ulster and All-Ireland with their club. Most recently the All Ireland in Croke Park - something that an Armagh player hasn't achieved in a long long time. Yet hardly got a sniff of game time in league or final. Questionable team selection and subs - but how dare we criticise the manager. 10 years and nothing to show for it.... yet.

Poor enough quality game - very low conversion rates from both sides. Definitely a few levels below championship intensity too with a lot of space inside each team's 45.

I don't think Armagh will be too bothered about not picking up a lower league title, and handing a debut to a young fella a couple of years away from really contributing at this level speaks to this indifference.

But there was a fairly handy game to be won there, and instead we have another failure to get over the line. All add fuel to the narrative that this bunch don't have what it takes when it matters. Already a lot of pressure to deliver in Ulster this year, and that disappointment ratchets it up another notch.

Sure maybe we should get relegated and go for the Tall Tin Cup!! Of course I would have loved to see us winning that today, who wouldn’t but if you genuinely think McGeeney is going to defined as a Div 2 Cup winner then I’ll have to disagree with you. No injuries, a 15 minute intense game, Rian and Oisin in, and nothing shown. Work to do now and hopefully we have both the hunger and stomach for what’s to come.

Pretty poor showing in first 60 minutes. We were well off it and on the day Donegal were the better team.

Would have been nice to get over the line and lift a trophy. Promotion was the main aim which was achieved.

League over move onto championship. Plenty to discuss before then

Nah, probably lose that too. Wake up and smell the roses. Armagh didn't go out not wanting to win that game today. They simply cannot perform/set up to perform when it matters. Paralysis by analysis

I understand your opinion but I don’t agree with it. Of course we didnt go out not to lose but look at the game, there wasn’t a hard hit anywhere and the intensity was non existent until the last12 minutes. Give him a little respect, he’s built a team of lads, the vast vast majority of which, have never experienced any county success at any level. Now I do agree with others who’ve posted, we’ve got to learn to win finals, hopefully that’s to come. Settle, enjoy your eggs and watching the Dubs and Derry. Maybe they’ll show something new?!?

I just feel the tactic we played today has a place maybe used maybe against the best teams, not Donegal or Monaghan, those teams we should be able to go with out strongest team and play the way that suits us, I just feel we seem to always worry more about the opposition then they worry about us
