Kildare and Cavan having to play their games in Croker. Again another reminder of how lucky (and worthwhile) we are to have AG

I assume Breffni is not available and Kildare folk just like giving their money to Dublin businesses.

So it'd be Cavan/Kildares choice to take it to Croke Park.

There may be trouble ahead.........

But sure the announcement was officially made before the draw that home advantage would be accommodated where possible. No mention of "unless Croke Park decide to grab a money opportunity and screw over whoever they like". Unless of course those that control games and finances are based in Croke park!!

If Armagh and presumably Leitrim are at home, why aren't Cavan and Kildare?

If Breffni/newbridge isn't available, it should be up to the Home team to choose the venue. I wouldn't be happy playing Clare in Croke Park!

Dont understand why the two games are fixed for croke park on a Saturday afternoon.

Cavan and tyrone should also not go and it doesnt make sense. Put that game in Clones and maybe 15,000 would go. In croker less.
As for kildare I hope they stick to their guns regardless of mayos season ticket holders.
The issue here is the gaa hq appeasing Murdoch and that is simply wrong. Play these games close to.home so that each teams supporters can watch.

Agreed It should be Newbridge and wherever Cavan nominate if Breffini is out , bad stuff from GAA management here , it would not have happened if Mayo and Tyrone were drawn at home .

Kildare should stick to their guns, why give Mayo an advantage. Whatever their ground capacity, it would make for a much better atmosphere than a Croke Park with just the lower tiers open. Again 7 o’clock on a Saturday night, no regard for supporters or families who would like to attend, these games administrators live in a complete Dublin bubble.

As for Armagh, it’s great to get a home draw, & with this spell of weather I hope it’s a bumper crowd. Clare will be no push overs, they are a firmly established div 2 teams with some very good players, 2 teams which should evenly be matched.

Not too many reports from Saturday?? Sounds like we made hard enough work of it? Who played well, I’m starting to doubt Mc Geenys team selections, Grimley must start for free taking alone. Also need Sheiriden to partner Charlie for Clare game (if fit!) Cmon Armagh

Listened to the Sligo game, alternating between Ocean FM and Radio Ulster. Fair dues to our fans who travel and make great noise in support of the team. Proud that we have a great and loyal travelling support.
Both sets of commentators noted that Armagh seemed to start very flat and lethargic. Certainly for most of the first half, it sounded like Sligo were going toe to toe with Armagh and maybe even made the better start. Maybe those posters who attended can verify if this was the case? I've noticed a few times that Armagh often seem very lethargic during the first quarter of so of games and often wondered why such low key starts.
Good to see Sheirdan back-really strengthens the backbone of that team. Grimley must start.
Gavin McParland?

the cavan vs tyrone game could easily have been played in clones & kildare vs mayo could easily have been played in tullamore offaly but the GAA greedy assholes & cavan, tyrone, kildare, mayo want their wee day out in the sun in croke park

@Berfaboy77 you're right. The suits don't give a frig about supporters. It's all about the money, especially the super 8s with the big guns.

By the way, if there is a draw this weekend in one of the qualifiers, there will be extra time. What if it's still level? Penalties? Rock Paper Scissors?

I'm not sure fans in those 3 counties would be happy going all that way to Dublin.
