Unbelievable performance from the lads tonight. Every single man on the field emptied what they had in the tank.

The lads who underperformed the last day; Aidan Nugent, Aidan Forker and Paddy Burns in particular, really really stood up to the plate.

Paul Hughes and Jemar Hall immense also. Too many to name but a really exciting win. If we can keep Rian and Jamie fit too we're a Super 8 team.

Worrying to see Grimley go off though, a tough man to replace and don't think it looked good for the fella.

Well done Kieran et al. Up the Orchard!

Today's win was thoroughly deserved and our performance was top notch for large parts. The first half was tight enough, with both teams having good spells, with those two Beggan 45's making a big difference. It was pleasing to see us getting another score to go in at the break ahead, because we were just about the better side for the first half. I was nervous at the start of the second half, as those first 10 minutes are the ones which usually indicate if Armagh are up for it and will be able to compete and I was expecting some kind of push from Monaghan. But we totally dominated the second half and finally got the goals to kill off the game, unlike in previous games. There were good performances all over the field. Forker had a good game on McManus and it really seemed like he got into his head and put him off. McKay had a solid game. Grimley did well at midfield. Campbell had a massive game - not in attacking threat, but more with the amount of work he got through in defence. Nugent had a very good game and got on a lot of ball. Jemar Hall was excellent. Whoever questioned why he was in the team only had to look at his performance today. Rian O'Neill did well, not as influential but still ended up with 2-1! Clarke was excellent again. And Murnin was out in front every time before what looked like another hamstring injury.

This was the tie everyone wanted to avoid but we passed with flying colours. There's no doubt that Monaghan looked very weary and just didn't have the legs to stay with Armagh. The likes of Wylie's, Fintan Kelly, Kieran Hughes, Vinny Corey and Conor McManus have been on the road a long time and they just didn't have the same bite or energy. It's no surprise to see the manager resign after 7 years in charge.

Great win today. Outstanding performance and shows that Armagh can do some serious damage.

Obviously Mayo and Tyrone are the teams to avoid. I’d fancy Armagh against any of the others, home or away.
