I am pretty sure I highlighted most of these issues regarding the officiating here last week and the majority of posters were at the other end of the scale. If we accept shite we will always get shite. The argument that there is nobody else is rubbish, if they are better trained, assessed and performance based then it will all improve and it will help them also.
In the build up to this game CE had been built up as if they had won championships for years, possibly in their own mind they had won Ulster's aswell. When in reality they got extremely lucky winning the one against Cross and we're dumped out last year by Mullaghbawn. Mullaghbawn being a team that never won a game this year in their group.
When the game was in the melting pot there was only one winner, heart determination and hunger drove our lads on. The sending off was justified and could have been a straight red and did lift the clans, but they still had to kick on and they sure did.
Cracking encounter and one that will become more and more over the next 5 or 6 years hopefully. But nothing is guaranteed and it's wise not to get above ones station, one swallow doesn't make a summer.
We have a massive challenge ahead of us now, people can go an view it or be sore losers if they wish.
Last night would have taken a lot of out of our lads, both teams had a lot of men out on their feet and it was nothing only a determination to win and credit goes to both clubs for that.
Today's game will allow us to plan over the next couple of weeks and by God those lads will have another rattle at whoever is in front of them. However nothing is guaranteed, my bias would say these lads are due this win because this has been some campaign, still unbeaten after pulling 3 or 4 games out of the fire.
Proud of everyone of those lads, who are a great bunch that has just knuckled down and said enoughs enough. It's hard to beat passion and our lads have it in abundance.
Still waiting on those calls for Gerry
