Clans have a free hit on Sunday and the only pressure they have is their own pressure so that’s a good place to we. We are the firm favourites and that’s ok too. We have been that for years in Armagh so that won’t be the winning and losing if it. We have a more experienced team but that also brings with it problems as a young, fit team like Clans will fancy themselves against older legs. Weather is also a factor, wet today but due to clear up by Sunday so should be perfect for football.

All in all should be a good game. While we are expected to win I reckon it will all come down to the last 10 minutes and who finishes stronger as there’s not a whole pile between both teams
You disappoint me @bcb1

I was looking forward to you saying Clans are sure to be in the Ulster final.

Clans won’t fear Errigal Ciaran anyway ;)
That’s more like it!!!

Blue nerves today? Young Lurgan on the edge of history,I’m sure there’ll be some chat around the pubs and bookies today, big day of history.

Great article with Tidsy in the paper today. DLBs swagger is in full swing!

All the best to the DLBs and St Paul’s tomorrow. Probably won’t say it publicly to too many Clans men but hope they can get over the line tomorrow.

It was a rough week for ourselves after the semi final but our success with the junior team last week has softened the blow.

Lurgan football is in a great place at the minute, hoping Tommy French is a few pounds lighter after tomorrows game.

Thought Connell in first game and Crowley in second did super marking jobs on Murnin and O’Neill.

Scarily for the rest of the county Aaron O’Neill looks as talented as the brothers

He is absolutely just as talented. The minor teams that Clans won back to back with are good but they face the challenge of being the bedrock of the Clans seniors. We have minor teams not too far off them but the difference is that our players will only have to be squad players for next 2-3 years.

Experience and physicality was the difference today. Clans put everything into the first half but still only had a 1 point win for all they did. They were done by the time they got the goal. We got our match ups right in the marking stakes and we stepped up when needed to. I’d loved to have heard the HT chat!

Anyway, hard luck to the Clans. Genuinely thought it would be tighter but in the 2nd half you needed big games from Soupy and McPartlin but it didn’t happen.

That's the thing with cross, clanns had a great minor team but cross where always at the business end of those same championships too and had an under 19 team last year that was top class to go along with the experience they have at senior level, it will take more than a few minor teams to topple cross they are a machine that just keeps producing but clann na Gael and clann eireann are on the right track and that's good for Armagh football, I thought Paul hughes was great along with oisin O'Neill, mcpartlan looks like a fella that's been playing county level for years he is a top top footballer, I thought alot of clanns younger players where good, Aaron O'Neill definitely is a top prospect for cross, seen him and Callum O'Neill play for st colmans in Newry easier this year they where top quality, I hope cross and cullyhanna go on and do well in Ulster

Think you nailed it there lad, disappointed but at the same time super proud of the lads who made it to the county final with let face it a bunch of kids. Hopefully a bright future ahead of them.

Thought the black card just allowed cross the extra bit of wriggle room and they exploited it well, meant we then had to chase the game and Cross were able to counter that. Not sure what the black card was actually for, seemed a very strange decision and was crucial in what had been a very tight game up until that. We also couldn't win a ball in the middle, cross dominated for 10-15 minutes and that was enough to finish it as a contest.

Wish Cross all the best now in Ulster which looks fairly open, Cross won't be easily beaten, they may face their toughest tests at the earlier stages.

Cullyhanna looks super well drilled also, great running from deep with support players either side. Also able to kick great scores, they scored a couple of cracking goals also..

Dissapointed but at the same time optimistic for the future but it's not guaranteed, rest assured every game will have to be won.
