There is always variation in yellow cards, being a referee isn't easy and the view an event can differ. However, at every level there are pointless clatters which run the risk of a card and which serve no great purpose, they are not decisive interventions by any measure and are not worth risking a card for.

If the second yellow offence had have been his first booking there wouldn’t have been a word. Fair play to killeavy in the second half they really made a go of it, only for a bit more clinical shooting they could have caused a huge upset. Crossmaglens to lose

Disgraceful refereeing yesterday costs our boys a place in the final, ref give us next to nothing and should of been another 2 or 3 cross men lined the way they were carrying on, got away with murder.

A bit biased I think. For me Kernan was unlucky. Your full forward was lucky he wasnt sent off when he went for Morgan after Morgan committed a challenge he was rightly carded for. From a neutral point of view it was a tough physical game with no real malice. Take your beating and learn. The county needs a few teams to put it up to Cross over the next few years.

I genuinely didn’t think there was any real dirt in the game at all. Some hard solid tackling from both teams. Good championship fair.

I don’t think anyone in Killeavy is being a sore loser and I also don’t think this is Stevie. I know him well enough and was sitting close to him yesterday and like myself, he is proud of the lads and hopeful for the future - whilst also being sick at us not being in the county final.

This was a real good game, played the way a championship game should be played, two teams who gave everything for the cause. I thought the ref had a reasonable game he made a good effort to keep the game flowing, yes the sending off of Tony Kernan was a bit harsh, and the departure of Arron seemed to cause confusion in the Cross ranks for a while, but they deserve credit for how they delt with the situation. Killeavy gave a great account of themselves and fought for every ball,a young team with a bright future, they should be proud of their contribution to a great hours football. Let's hope the final lives up to this standard.
