The only thing about the draw is winning gives you an easier draw as no disrespect but Clare and Louth/Kildare are going to be there rather than second can get you Kerry/Dublin, obviously if you win Ulster you'd want to avoid the Connacht runner up but 3rd seeds are going to be tough as the rossies, Derry and Tyrone/Donegal and Monaghan. Not that Armagh should be short on motivation to beat down and win an Ulster but that should be more motivation

Then ask yourself

Why come out with such a statement now - 24hrs before a game

What club is he from and have they form for such antics?

What other provincial semi finals toss for home venue? Did Donegal and Tyrone toss for venue?

Same team named, good to see Ethan back fit for bench and Greg McCabe back from his injury. McPartlan, Oisin O’Neill and Cullyhanna 3 leaves a good bench.

Not sure who but it was mentioned by a few people to toss for venue before Clones was announced.

Ulster Semi finals are in neutral venues. Not once In history has there been a Toss for venue. The precedent wouldn’t be set. An absolute non story that was never going to happen.
I’d say laverty said that over a week ago and the papers are printing it now. They regularly do that to fill space on separate days.

Without meaning to drag this discussion any further than intended, we played Monaghan in Clones in the 2014 Ulster semi final (and again in the replay). That was hardly a neutral venue for an Ulster semi final.

Anyway, bedtime...

There was a toss of a coin for Munster final venue. I would be sure provincial councils would be happy to consider this should both counties agree. The attendance and atmosphere will be very poor for Saturday in comparison to if the game was played in Newry or Armagh.

Down were happy to toss for it, it appears Armagh did not consent, so the game is in Clones. If the management feel playing in Clones is a better option and gives an advantage than playing elsewhere then that’s the right decision, regardless of attendances or anything else.
