who loses out for those boys? Especially Nugent? Inside forwards have all been excellent in the league.I disagree I think when all are fit Duffy, Conor O'Neill, soupy all start and maybe even Nugent
I'm going by the majority of championship games the last 2 years, Duffy, Conor O'Neill and soupy start way more often than not so does Nugent, I have no problem playing Conaty and McGrane as they have earned it but I feel when it really comes down to it the will be benched.who loses out for those boys? Especially Nugent? Inside forwards have all been excellent in the league.
Joe McElroy will definitely start I think- started vs Monaghan last year and had a super league this year.
Blaine over Rafferty, not even a question imo, Blaine hasn’t put a foot wrong and Rafferty has played 0 minutes all year. For me
Guaranteed staters are
Aaron McKay
Greg McCabe
Aidan Forker
Ciaran Mackin
Ben Crealey
Rory Grugan
Rian O’Neill
Rory Grugan
Andrew Murnin
Oisin Conaty
For me the other 5 are up for grabs
Blaine Hughes / Ethan Rafferty
Peter McGrane / Barry McCambridge
Jarlath Og Burns / Joe McElroy
Stefan Campbell / Conor O’Neill
Conor Turbitt / Oisin O’Neill
The depth is the headache thoughBlaine over Rafferty, not even a question imo, Blaine hasn’t put a foot wrong and Rafferty has played 0 minutes all year.
McGrane and McCambridge probably 50/50, McCambridge a better man marker and would want him for McGuigan if we met Derry down the line if we met, McGrane deserves his place for now though imo.
McElroy over Burns all day for me.
Campbell vs O’Neill, 2 different players and tbh would like to see both start.
O’Neill over Turbo for me.
Been saying it for a few years now he has that ability and I don’t doubt that for a second. Up to him to show it though- bar the Ulster final and the point against Monaghan he had a poor year last year. I hope we’ll see him with a point to prove this year- and if the brother is playing it’ll only help more I think. The depth is the headache though
We don’t see the training only the games
But yep for sure
If we want to prevail and go for
The 2 oneill brothers need to start and build momentum
Rian has a monumental year ahead and can show Ireland he can be the best against Clifford / Glass / McGuigan / Fenton / Con
But McGeeney
Needs to let me him achieve that
Five key words there ' we don't see the training'The depth is the headache though

exactly. Bringing Beggan straight back in didnt exactly work for monaghan at the weekingBlaine over Rafferty, not even a question imo, Blaine hasn’t put a foot wrong and Rafferty has played 0 minutes all year.

Duffy and Paddy Burns probably in contention as well.
Wouldn't differ too much from that team.Think if everyone is 100% fit and in top form nailed on starters and everyone would probably agree are Forker, Grugan, Murnin and Rian. Oisin O’Neill on top form starts as well. Soupy either starting or held as an impact sub. After that theres probably discussions to be had depending on your preference.
My dream team would probably be
Blaine
Morgan
McKay
Forker
C O’Neill
McCabe
Mackin
Grimley
O’Neill
Soupy
Grugan
Duffy
Murnin
O’Neill
Conaty
Then
Burns
McGrane
McCambridge
McQuillan
McPartlan
Crealey
McElroy
Nugent
Turbitt
Could all very easily start there as well. (You could probably ask me again tomorrow and a few of those boys would start). Thats not a prediction team or even a team I’d like to see start vs Fermanagh, but just what I think is our strongest 15
He got player of the match………exactly. Bringing Beggan straight back in didnt exactly work for monaghan at the weeking
Good strong team but I’d have mcpartlan instead of crealeyWouldn't differ too much from that team.
The first names on the team in the ideal scenario ( if everyone was fully fit) for me would be;
A. Forker
A. McKay
G. McCabe
O. O'Neill
R. O'Neill
J. Duffy
A. Murnin
C. Turbitt
If Morgan was fully fit he'd make it 9.
Armagh's strongest 15 for me would be;
1. B. Hughes
2. P. Burns / J. Morgan
3. A. McKay
4. A. Forker
5. C. Mackin
6. G. McCabe
7. J. Og Burns/ R. McQuillan
8. B. Crealy
9. O. O'Neill
10. J. Duffy
11. R. Grugan
12. C. O'Neill
13. C. Turbitt/ O. Conaty
14. A Murnin
15. R. O'Neill
Joe McElroy probably deserves to start and Pete McGrane has been good. Harsh to leave both out - but if everyone was fit I'd be looking at the above 15 (18).
We need to be getting closer to this against Fermanagh.
Bringing main men in against Derry with little football won't cut it.
The 15 that started against Donegal wouldn't cut it against Derry either.
We can definitely beat Derry with our main players but they need to have serious game time. There's the worry also that Fermanagh and Down/Antrim can only do so much in preparing us for a battle with Derry.
We shouldn't be fully tested before an Ulster Final. But stranger things have happened.
from Philly, yeah. He shouldnt haveHe got player of the match………
You realise one player is not soley responsible for a loss/win? I trust Philly's judgement more than your own. Beggan is a class act - one of the best GAA goalkeepers ever and would be a shoe in on any team in the country at the moment.from Philly, yeah. He shouldnt have
Only back one game and he’s let past more goals than Blaine has all yearYou realise one player is not soley responsible for a loss/win? I trust Philly's judgement more than your own. Tell me you're deluded, without telling me you're deluded....... those 14 other players have no responsibility for goals conceded Talking about dropping blaine for ethan, Beggan is lightyears ahead of both. How about some proper stats of shots faced v goals conceded? No, it's easier to take a lazy swipe.Only back one game and he’s let past more goals than Blaine has all year
Agreed. Although I think Lynch got the goal after it had been awarded to Beggan. Now now boys- Beggan wasnt the losing of the game. Kicked 3 points including a nice one from play. He had a good game.
He also shouldn't have got motm over Lynch who hit 1-9, Stevie Wonder could see that!
Most people's 15 is pretty similar to the 15 you named earlier in the thread. With the exception of McQuillan and Grimley most other posters have the same names in their team.Next two games will be a waste of time, win them pulling up and then Wel be beat in prob a hard luck story again in final tho this year think Derry have improved massively so could hammer us! The boys most yous picking in ur 15s wouldn’t get near the Derry squad let alone play! Living in cloud cuckoo land the lot of yous.
We actually have a very good squad but we’ve a management team who refuse to pick the best players and who are probably one the most defensive minded management teams in the game! The games moved on as showed by Derry and Dublin in the league final. If ur not brave ur going nowhere!!
Very sad but we deserve it having these boys still in charge!
To dare to be great you have to be brave. We won’t and never have been!
The league final confirmed all that needed to be. It took too we were 4/5 down to really start pressing the kickout and get our better players on the field. We went ahead and what was the first thing we did???? Sat back lol
The definition of insanity??? Doing the same thing over and over again!
We’ve been doing the same things for years!
