Ulster Championship 2024

This "cautious approach" you talk about is essentially the playing style of intercounty football now. Dublin and Kerry are still the heavyweights as has historically been the case and will find ways to deal with it, but just about everybody else plays the way we do.

Do Armagh fans really think we are doing something completely different to the majority of the country?
The other heavy hitters wouldn't have struggled for 70 minutes against Down like we did the other day. Do people think that Derry, Donegal or Tyrone would have been so passive against Down? The same for Kerry, Galway or Dublin? They may have taken a while to work it out, but they would have sped things up and pulverised a hugely limited Down side. It may have just been an off day and there's undoubtedly a lot of pressure on this team to perform and win an Ulster Championship and they know this. So this could well have played a part. Semi finals are just for winning. Same for finals to be honest.

Donegal and McGuinness seem to have our number. They have the size to compete with us. They are incredibly fit. They have that x-factor pace across a number of positions that we lack, outside of Conaty. There's also a real bit of bite between McGuinness and McGeeney, which seems to go back to that epic Kildare v Donegal game years ago.

Armagh can definitely win this and have their own weapons to really trouble Donegal. They'll have to perform at a level that we haven't seen yet, to do so.

Martin McNally Monaghan to referee Ulster Final.
From what I’ve seen a very poor choice. Arrogant and dismissive. I know a lad well plays in Monaghan club football and he is not popular at all. Pat mc Enamey obviously still has a strong influence in these appointments

Pat McEnaney has nothing to do with the referees committee anymore. And TBH, Corduff are not a liked club in Monaghan for a number of reasons. But Martin McNally is by far not the worst ref in ulster.

Martins not the worst in fairness. Yeah he is Pat’s favourite boy but he’s not a bad ref.

They are being distributed to the clubs at the min.
Im assuming whatever is left over (if any) will then go on general sale

Seen a few posts from Donegal based clubs advising they don’t have enough for the requests they got so can’t see any going on general sale?

When Armagh played Donegal in an Ulster final in Croke park there was 67,000 on one occasion. So its not hard to see how tickets might not be plentiful.

Lads & lasses if all goes to plan & we do come out on the right side of the result on Sunday we are due to play Cork the week-end of 1st/2nd of June. Apparently there are 2 concerts in Cork in the Saturday & a marathon on the Sunday so trying to get any sort of accommodation will be fun!!!!

I had priced a hotel and was well over 300 quid for 1 night. Premier inn was 260. That explains it

@Ard Mhacha 13 are we away to Cork if we win on Sunday? If we lose have we a home or away fixture with Derry, Galway or Westmeath?

Ridiculous!!! Irrespective of whether it's or Donegal supporters (I hope it's us) there will be no accommodation to be had. Madness that the GAA don't look at other events in the area before fixing matches. Even if it meant having to switch matches around & not follow the Home, Away, Neutral format.
