If that is correct how did the first appeal fail and how the hell do people continue to allow these loop holes to be exploited.
While this is good news for armagh I do feel it is extremely embarrassing for the GAA.
Social media is awash with the word ‘farce” this evening and sadly it is hard to disagree.

Them Uns have been exploiting these loop holes for years so the GAA have had plenty of time to make the necessary amendments, however at this moment in time I'm delighted they still haven't bothered :D

Don't think the reason you replied to is correct

Did not expect that!! Surprising to say the least. As fans and supporters we need to circle the wagons around the players and team from the inevitable criticism that will rain down tomorrow.
1 We used the mechanisms in place for appeal, as have all other counties on occasion. Do other counties now wish for the right to appeal to be removed? By all means level criticism at GAA and it’s processes, but we should not be accountable for any perceived deficiencies.
2) Need to remember we were intentionally baited and it looks like Donegal have come out of the situation worse off, and deservedly so. So for us to “win” with our appeals is probably karma.
But better not to antagonise Donegal directly in the week ahead and give them ammunition.
But a lot more positive about the possibility of a win in Ballybofey. I just hope Geezer was still training with the boys in position in the hope of a successful appeal outcome.

It's a great outcome, whatever way it came about. Would love to be a 'fly on the wall ' to hear the pleasantries being exchanged between players before and during the game.

It's a discussion forum Pat, so expect discussion. All contributers are of course behind the lads and you can't assume the role of admin because you don't like the discussion - just don't contribute or just say you disagree.
Not trying to be admin and wasn’t directing my post at you.
There was a lot on here running the players down which got me.
If contributing to a mallee is the law then 20 30 40 players should all be suspended which is a joke. The law is wrong

A few things here, firstly, its the GAA's problem now and so be it as their processes are a shambles. Secondly, roll on Sunday, there is a game to be won. Thirdly and I cannot stress this enough, the social media joke of "4 Tyrone players sent off as a result" is seriously tiresome already. Counties I hate in GAA, Tyrone, Donegal, Laois, Westmeath, Mayo.

Sunday has the feel of a real championship hum dinger. Mon Armagh!!!!

Didn’t expect that.

The issues of the ramifications for our game against Donegal and the wider ramifications for our game are distinct.

Obviously the decision is of great help to our chances on Sunday. It really strengthens our bench and provides cover for some of the injuries that our rumoured. If Grugan isn’t available it’s a blow but Grugan and Nugent missing at the same time would be much more difficult to manage.

Hopefully one of the papers can take us through what has happened here. What did the ref see, why did the appeal fail and then get overturned? This is not the first instance of GAA being unable to make punishments stick. But for the good of the game we need to be moving quickly towards the last. Right of appeal yes but the only ground for successful appeals should be innocence. Hopefully that clarity will be provided for these cases.

We got the ‘get out of jail free card’ here for sure. Hopefully it’s a massive warning to all the players as they will be all on the referees radar now so we need to be very disciplined on Sunday and beyond . I’m actually laughing the fact that Donegal couldn’t believe they got away with one player and a pensioner being suspended and didn’t appeal, now we have the all 4 back even though Mackin may be injured .No exercises now , time to concentrate on football and beating Donegal .

Hoganstand forum should be fun today!

The venue will be a cauldron on Sunday and both teams and supporters will be well fired-up - I for one can't wait - this is what Championship football is all about!
Had a nosey on it there and actually starting to think Donegal are more annoying than Tyrone.

The pain of Them Uns is hilarious! They appealed for years and the whole process was revamped because of them!

Anyway, huge weekend ahead. Minors take on Derry on Saturday and by all accounts are huge underdogs - time to get out and support them, and give them a lift as Derry will not travel!

Then to Sunday, I suspect we will have as many there as Donegal and will defo be more vocal! They will be very wary of us now, the appeals will have dampened their supporters enthusiasm! But we need to do our talking on the pitch now - this is 1 we just can't lose we've had a good league and need to build on it. The ref will set out his stall from the start and I feel could we could have a a target on our backs. And hopefully the ref will be strong enough not to fall for McHughs "simulating"! Keeping Murphy quiet is huge (understatement)! And I hope Sunday isn't the day that our goalkeeper isn't found out out not to be a goalkeeper..................

If we don't concede goals I think we will sneak it, but we will need at least 1.

Listening to the sideline podcast last night and Aaron and Shaun picking their starting teams and subs bench, they said there was a few injuries but reading between the lines and what they are saying it seems that Oisin o Neill, Turbo and Ross mcquillan all seem to be fully fit, there was no talk or mention at all of Paddy burns or Andrew Murnin so I'm assuming they are possibly still injured and not in contention, hopefully that's not the case and they too are able to play a part.
The team they named more than likely will be the team to start but with Geezer you never know there could be a surprise starter on the first 15

Wouldn’t believe a word you read or hear coming from either camp.

It obvious that we need a plan for Murphy irrespective of where he plays, McBrearty and the movement of Donegal’s big men around the middle. The pace of Mogan would worry me. We are not blessed with searing pace at the back. A fit Paddy Burns or dropping Hall back is possibly the best we have.

Let's be honest here, we've gotten away with one here somehow! It does make a farce of the whole disciplinary process. No doubt we were provoked and Donegal were looking to start something and get a few players banned. We were stupid enough to react and players did things they shouldn't have and got punished. I worry that with these players getting off, we have a mark against us in the minds of refs now. They saw what happened against Tyrone, then Donegal and then players being cleared on what appears to be technicalities and will not be willing to gives us the benefit of the doubt on tight calls. We have a reputation as bullies, which no one likes, so I hope that doesn't come back to bite us. There seems to be a question mark over the availability of Ciaran Mackin. I've seen two separate reports of how he's been cleared but he's also accepted his suspension. Then there's question marks about his fitness for Sunday, so if he can't play, maybe taking the suspension isn't a bad idea so it's not as big a brass neck move on our part to get all the players cleared.

No doubt we are stronger with all these players available and is going to make for one hell of a game on Sunday! It's going to be Holy War and we better be prepared for a battle and hopefully we can finally claim a big scalp in the Ulster Championship.
