Don’t think those deciding care too much about logistics of clubs training

Think they think club players are getting there mileage money and going to fancy gyms and floodlit training pitches with lovely warm showers after

If GAA are to push club season into winter window they need to allocate a lot of money to bring club facilities up to standard
Mic drop!

Only way that would work is if every club in the country is given a grant for floodlights and all weather pitcheso_O

Tbh there is no easy solution that will allow county players to play club and county football on decent pitches without them getting burned out

Easier to sort out 10-15 good winter standard pitches for inter county than clubs. clubs would be happy to get pre season and early league games in wetter months.

How do people think this would work if it went ahead?
Straight into Championship and then league?
League then championship? sumilar to this year?

Leave things the way they were

Clubs just accept that county player will be training with the county
County player who didn't play in previous county game plays for the club unless certified injured which can be checked

We need to play club games during the better weather months
County games provide income which is needed
County should run January to june
Club leagues start march/april
Club championship starts August
Provincial and AI club late October and november
Nothing in December

The closer the game comes, the more I feel we have a chance. I do fear for our defense and think we are carrying a couple but all of the lads are capable of big games and we do have real quality in our team. We do need Donegal having an off day as they are top 4 in terms of favourites along with Dublin, Kerry and Galway but they are always liable to have a stinker! I hate to go on about it but our discipline is key if we are to have a chance! We need all 15 on the field and a good day tackling wise to give our top fowards a chance. This is where we wan't to be and where we should be - division 1 and competing for finals!!

The Mayo-Roscommon game shows where we are. We didn't beat Roscommon, although we possibly could have. But Mayo had no trouble putting them away. Donegal and Mayo are very comparable in standard, and we would need to buck up substantially to not end up like the Rossies.

Roscommon were poor and Mayo were very good today. We could and should have beaten Mayo last year and the same with Roscommon this year.

Agreed we need massive improvements to beat Donegal.

That was a very poor Roscommon performance today
