First half very poor nothing for supporters to get excited about, second half Harps gave a great whole hearted display and are worthy champions, thought Mòrrison was outstanding with his kickouts and saves. Best of luck to Harps in the journey ahead.

So they really are the only true champions apart from us in the last 20 odds years:p

Seriously though well done to the harps. They put in a seriously ballsy (am I allowed to say ballsy?) performance in the second half...particularly after Maghery scored the opening score in the second half. Vernon showed up at key times as did Lennon and Paddy Morrison had a great game in goals. Maghery looked leggy and shapeless when the game went into the mixer and looked like they played their final in the semi. Congratulations to Harps. Good opportunity in ulster too if you want it. Easier side of the draw.

I was right by saying it was harps year....I may have been saying it for years but I got it right this time:p
Fair play bcb, to say we are delighted would be an understatement

Well done Harps, first half was pretty low key and Maghery seemed well in control, stifled anything that was thrown at them and took their points at ease.

When they scored the first point after ht I thought things were looking ominous for the Harps, but the two goals were the turning point, the second was as good a team goal as you'll see in Gaelic football.

From there the momentum switched and it is good after such a lengthy absence to see another traditional kingpin of Armagh football back at the top of the table. Enjoy the celebrations and go give Ulster a good rattle!

Ophelia will give it an even bigger rattle!

You're right though. The two goals swung the match in Harps favour. Maghery were in control and Harps were lacking ideas up to then.

Brutal first half. Harps were a different team second half. Maghery lacked ideas, were very laboured, and never really looked capable of pulling back the deficit.

Maghery midfield caught nothing all day. Harps got their scores easier in second half. Ref decisions a bit ropey against Maghery I thought, but Harps still deserving winners.

Another thing I noticed was the flat atmosphere of both fans. It was like they were all drugged, even in the build up. It livened up a bit later on but was like being in a library at times.

I overheard a comment at half time that the atmosphere was better at cemetery Sunday. An uninspiring first half didn't help. While not ever managing to pull away, Maghery did look in control with Harps not posing much threat up front. At half time there was almost an air of resignation among the crowd that the next 30 mins would continue to chug along in the same manner and end up a 11-5 win to Maghery.
Always felt there was a big performance in the Harps after not looking world beaters in the preceding rounds. They left it to a magnificent last 30 minutes. Charlie Vernon moving into a more direct midfield position/role was a factor and going forward they played the ball into space very well. When the play opened up, McShane did a lot of damage on the right wing and Lennon had an immense game-while dangerous from play, I would say his free kick from the stand side was a standout score and you could see the Harps spirit and confidence really starting to soar. Well done Harps, well deserved and best of luck in the Ulster campaign.
Going back to the lack of atmosphere (and I know I am going to sound like an auld cranky bollox here) but I don't think I have ever seen so many kids at a game. It might have been just the particular spot in the stands I was sitting but I was fecking tortured with the back of my seat kicked constantly all through the game by demented weans blabbering to their parents over wanting the cheese and onion and not the smoky bacon. My Father and I were up and down out constantly to let hoards of kids get in and out of their seats. I love that our games are so accessible for families but it looked to me that a sizable percentage of the stand was filled with uninterested and restless children and their parents trying to look after them. I know the people behind and in front of me spent little of their time watching or following the game.

@pablo, yeah you usually hear crowd get excited in the parade, players taking position and before throw in. It was like a library. The beginning of first half the crowd was as lively as it would be before a quarter full ground before a meaningless curtain raiser.

As for kids up and down, surely it's up to the parents to ensure they sit in their seats and stop annoying others watching the game. Ok toilet breaks maybe necessary but try doing that at HT or before the match.
