Think we can over analyse results sometimes and muddy the water. Think we have to take the Tyrone and Donegal victories for what they are two good wins and performances against two division 1 teams and one of the reigning all Ireland champions. The game has moved on since 2012 I doubt he’d set up so negatively nowadays. Are we really that competitive? Hard to say, Tyrone’s and Donegals form wasn’t brilliant when we came up against them, how Galway get on against Derry will provide a better yardstick to how far we’re off the best teams in the country, if they’re well beat by Derry we’re still away off the pace and conversely if they beat Derry and make a final we’re the contenders we claim to be.
You could start digging holes into are they on the decline or there problems in their camps and so on. But certainly the same can be done for any team. I think we have faced tougher opposition then dublin or kerry so for this year. And they haven't been great anytime I have watched them. But they still considered favourites. Based on current from to date you would say both Galway and Derry have the better form in the book. But doesn't always work out like that
