One of the many issues with the Clifford issue is that the TV pictures do not appear to show the entire incident
Most certainly it appears to be a ploy by Tyrone by having the new sub on to be involved with an already yellow carded player.
The play acting by Tyrone players is something else - they must do some serious training on this aspect of their game.

McShane is over rated and will be found out this year
Clifford is a superb talent and on a harder surface he would have excelled

Ever since our game with Mayo last year additional time has been.proper.
We had two additional five mins on Saturday night which was about right

There was an.incident on Saturday night where.the kildare player was down.holding his head. Their doctor came on and was doing some checks and once his own teammates moved the ball on he was away like a rabbit
Head injuries on the pitch should mean the player comes off and can rejoin at the next break in.play. easy to follow and implement.
I’d go even further. If you go down holding your head like you’ve been shot, you must go for a HIA which takes 10 mins. That will cut that shite out over night

The issue I had with the yellow cards were as follows. Clarke was no more involved than at least ten others. So either everyone should be booked or no one should have. That said it looked to me like Forker started it by shouldering Flynn in the back when running in.

The second yellow was shambolic refereeing. Coldrick clearly saw the incident and allowed Armagh to play on. Once he did that there’s nothing a linesman can or should do. Now both Kildare and Armagh can feel aggrieved. Kildare because a score resulted from what the linesman say should have been a foul and Armagh because the linesman has re-refereed the game.
It was Clarke who gave a Kildare player a bit of a shoulder pop while jogging in.

I'm assuming Clarke's red card will be appealed. He has collected quite a few cards in the last season or two so I'm not sure what sort of suspension he will face if the appeal isn't successful.

He will make a huge difference if available for the rest of the league

Two yellows doesn’t get you a suspension as far as I know

Sorry Niall, but a Tyrone neighbour who was at the game said that Clifford was pulled, turned and then dragged down Said it was a massive shame as the game was great up until that point, but Kerry just about gave up after that. I had watched the game today and wasn't sure what had happened as the tv footage didn't really show much. I thought the ref was brutal though throughout for both teams.
From what we saw on tele it looked like Clifford started it. Lots of people at the game saying the same thing on a different forum

I was one of those criticizing last week and i will also be very quick to say that it was great performance on Saturday night. The 4-5 mins after halftime was brilliant. Getting those scores against the wind i think killed Kildare off. In saying that not getting carried away with the win but still positive. Nugent, Cumiskey, two O'Neills, Soupy, AF were class. Jamie oozed class every time he touched it. Any county in Ireland would love to have the forwards we have at the minute. Still feel our defense is going to let us down. Sheridan not the answer at CHB. IMO anything less than promotion will be a failure in this league campaign.

Just watched the game back this morning, my takes from it would be;

Genuinely thought Sheridan had a strong game. Maybe not an ideal CHB but very strong when it came to work rate and turnovers.

Blaine's kickouts were a mixed bag, but entitled to somewhat of a free pass given conditions. That being said, it would be a slight concern going forward. Similarly, a few high balls lumped in which he didn't come for in the 2nd half. Maybe not his place to come for them but you'd hope his confidence will grow.

Thought Callum Cumisky tracking back and going forward was superb. He worked his socks off as did Soupy and Joe McIlroy.

Paddy Burns seemed to get on a lot of ball going forwarded and played a decent roll as a link man.

Defensively the Full Back line were solid. 10 points in 70 minutes and two of this in 50 minutes is no mean feat.

Jarly Óg grew in to the game and surging runs forward became a focal point for him, just a bit wasteful early on but lack of match practice and a small bit of niaveity probably to blame there.

Aidan Nugent getting more intelligent and cute in terms of decision making and took some lovely score.

Rian from placed balls. No more needs to be said ‍♂️

And the Jamie sending off. Must have watched it 10 times and can't for the life of me see any yellow card there. The play should have been stopped if that were the case.

All in all, a perfect tactical performance from Kieran and it's very clear that the players are fully invested in his ideas. Westmeath in two weeks is huge but for me, the Roscommon game is the big one now. They looked decent against an albeit poor Clare side.

Nice weekend off now to recharge the batteries for the road trip to Mullingar. The place seems like a second home at this stage.

While the win was fantastic and the way we got the win was pleasing it's difficult to read into it with how atrocious the conditions were.

Kildare went down clenching their bellies way too often. It took us a while to get into the swing of things in that game and perhaps better opposition would have had us up against the wall.

With that being said the conditions had an effect on Armagh's performance too. Armagh stayed composed, well organised and played the have intelligently considering the conditions.

Jamie Clarke made an instant impact when he came on and for the time he was on. Campbell suits the captaincy and showed his leadership qualities not only today but through the years. Forker has been exceptional this last few years and an example and rather than being a liability he is become one of the most important and influential players on the team.

There is still room for improvement in defence as the 14 men behind the ball doesn't suit. Management really did drill the team well fit this game and played a binder with tactics keeping Kildare to 1 point in the first half
