What?!

I was going to treat herself to a fish supper from McCann’s at the weekend. Ah well, the thought was there!

(Must screenshot your post as evidence).
Fear not Pat. Your weekend isn't ruined yet. The old Mc Canns site is now occupied by a hair and beauty salon. So, take the missus for a hair appointment and you could nip into the Chip Wagon for a fish supper. Sorted!

I know this isn't the place and it's never the time, but has 'bull been banned? Hasn't been around for a bit. Maybe someone from Grange knows or if he's ok!!
No he hasn't. Only one person banned since we started the forum.

Bull hasn't signed in since 30th April so maybe as you suggest, someone from his club could maybe update and let us know if all is ok. PM me if you prefer and I can pass info on.

Good lord that was a while ago. I'd even forgotten he existed

That is a while ago. I thought he’d be back to take part in our soccer ball predictions. But no, there’s been no sign of him.

Maybe he’s just forgot his password or something daft like that?

I can't understand the GAA stance on not opening changing rooms.
The weather is changeable at present and how are players of all codes supposed to change their Jersey etc in the car park?
So we can sit in a pub for nearly 2hrs but not a changing room for 15mins?

Are you gonna do a thorough clean every time a team uses your club changing rooms?

I used to complain when we had to change in cars at underage. My da would respond saying in his day they had to change behind a bush. And if it rained during the match, you went home with wet clothes!

But as @armaghlad says, the essential continual cleaning of the changing rooms is probably the major obstacle to opening them up.

To be honest I've seen no issue with it as a player, just turn up ready. It has no bearing on preparation as all can be done on field anyway. We played tonight and no problems with not having facilities.

The only thing we are missing is a shower after and I only get 1 a week anyway when the whole family are round.

It's not difficult to do there are disinfectant machines that do this in a few minutes
I'm more thinking that given the rain predicted for Friday night how is a player to change after the game if people are still in car parks after a game
Would you get back into your car if your soaked and drive home for sayv30mins?
I also note that soccer changing rooms will be open

My understanding on keeping the dressing rooms closed is that if a player tests positive and he has only been in contact outdoors with his team mates they can be deemed to be casual contacts. This would have no implications for the remaining members of the team. If he was in a dressing room environment (or a gym for that matter) with everyone then the team mates would be deemed to be close contacts. Close contacts would have to self-isolate until they are in receipt of a negative test. The club would have to close down under those circumstances. If enough clubs have to do this the GAA season would be wrecked.

glad that someone has put that together. We are playing football

and if we are cautious we’ll still be playing football for the rest of the year

Exactly I’d happily get changed in a bush in torrential rain if needs be. Most men are just happy to get back at it
