Basically, 2 forkhill county lads (may) have covid, suspend the whole season so the county team can get promoted.
Of what I heard there are at least 70 positive cases in Forkhill as a result of last week's game. Also hearing 8 on the county panel positive. Not sure what it's like around Eire Og at the minute but South Armagh is badly affected with cases in majority of clubs. Was a ridiculous idea from the CB to try and run a full league campaign this year, especially after championship has ended.

Social clubs to close as well I believe, class. Thankfully none have bills or mortgages....

I would imagine
943 cases in the North today 1:6 ratio on testing
Clubs in parts of the county experiencing high numbers of cases and in their community
Schools and parts of schools closing

It does say suspended so perhaps its for a few days to allow all those affected some space

If you get it you have to isolate which could mean no work

It's a tough, tough call but at this time probably the right one.
Stay safe, stay away from gatherings in enclosed spaces like bars who are not applying the public guidelines

Well said.

The sooner we all do the right thing, the sooner we all get out of this.

The reality is GAA clubs are a hive of social activity and a breeding ground for new cases. Add in all the kids back to school last month and it’s no wonder there’s been a sharp rise. I actually don’t think matches/training themselves have any relevance when it comes to spreading the virus but it’s the lifts to and from matches, the gatherings both on and off club premises that’s doing the damage

I concur with the first half
It's the celebrating and sessions after finals, in particular, that are causing the rampant rise in cases

That’s pure speculation the virus could of came into the village/team from anywhere and most likely wasn’t spread while playing football more likely due to the populations actions before and after the game. You can’t blame that on football.

Split all day long, best of both worlds
I’ve gone from home full time.

Don’t get me wrong, majority of the office are great but 1 or 2 just can’t deal with at times.

Tend to get more work done at home and just work/life balance better- soon as I cover my hours, computers off where as when in the office, would work extra.

I have to say I'm with shifty @ShiftYa on this. No where in the world has one expert or virologist been able to identify where this actually started, who or when. They can't identify exactly when or where it got into any particular country never mind region. I don't honestly think it can be pinpointed down to a group of footballers, more than to merely speculate and I'm afraid it could be for so many reasons. So so many people have picked it up without even being in crowded bars celebrating. Absolutely by the same token, no one can argue that it's wrong to say that, but reality says we'd just be speculating. We just don't know!! It's invisible. A serious amount of people have no idea at all they have or had it, until tested.
