Immediate impact statement from me would be proud of the lads and their commitment to the cause but Galway beat us tactically today and had us under wraps from h-t on only for a few hail Mary's we were dead and buried. A great day out and massive support.
My biggest disappointment was the behaviour at the final whistle - we have one player in particular who let us down and deserves a lengthy ban.

I've looked at multiple photos of the alleged incident and I do not and never will condone unsportsmanlike acts on a field regardless who they play for.

The photos, to me, show a shove in the face. Photos from different angles can always show different things but let's remember this is a young guy who, if you know him, is a fair and hard player.

There are a lot of social media accounts giving unwarranted abuse. No one deserves such abuse for something in the heat of the battle.

A hand in the face is a red card that's all.

We didn't play as well as we have but what a special player Rian is. Unbelievable kick at the end.

Wrong. It was a clear gouge and multiple attempts at it no matter what angle of the incident you watch. A disgusting act. If it was a Tyrone or Dublin player you would want the book thrown at him. Disgraceful and should be made an example of by the CCCC.

There is many videos on twitter.
Tiarnan should be getting a long ban. He could have blinded comer. He let himself and the county down and i hope he apologises to the Galway player

You need to watch the video - it's clear as day.

First and foremost, extremely proud of the resilience and "never say die" attitude the lads showed today. It would have been easy to have done a Mayo and allowed the game to grind to what looked to be an inevitable Armagh loss.
I think Galway overall were the deserving winners, they got the tactics right, kept some of our key men quiet, broke quick out of defence and seemed to be able to pop over scores with relative ease.

Disappointed by a few things...

1) Deciding a quarter final game on penalties? I can't say I had a big opinion on it before, but having seen the atmosphere literally zapped out of the stadium after what was an outrageously entertaining and nail biting game - surely there is a better way to decide who should progress to the next round? Maybe I'd be saying different had we have won on penalties but I think it needs reviewed.

2) Another melee. And some very unsavoury videos and photos floating around social media. This needs stamped out. I know an entire team can't be tarred with one brush, but we need to learn to not get involved in so many altercations.

3) it's unfortunate that we never got the opportunity to play one of the "big wigs". I not convinced the outcome would necessarily have been any different, but another season has finished and I still don't quite know where we fair in comparison to the likes of Dublin, Kerry and Mayo.

That said, it's been a great season with some fantastic wins both in the league and championship, and the lads seem to be in a good place both mentally and physically with the existing management. It was pretty emotional at times seeing the droves of Armagh supporters on the road and out in full voice once again - we did the job we set out to do as supporters and turned Croke Park Orange!

I’m sure many of you are just back from Dublin. Myself, I am just back from the local Irish pub. Kickoff was 7.45am for us and even with the early start there was an excellent buzz of Armagh supporters to watch the game.

It was easily the most exciting game I have watched though I thought Galway overall controlled the game more with a lot of passing around the back which could be quite dull. Armagh were at times very direct or trying to be which resulted in missed opportunities and mistakes giving Galway the edge. With that being said, that same directness from Armagh also got them back into the game, I never thought it was going to overtime.

I love the passion from the players/fans, I feel from what I’ve seen its Armagh’s biggest advantage over other counties. The crowd and noise we bring is fantastic and something I am really looking forward to being a part of one day. I keep reading a lot of disappointment around the Armagh fan’s booing of the opposition during their kicks. I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it, but I understand its not accepted as part of the culture. Maybe there would be some booing of the opposition from the likes of Kerry and Mayo fans if they could be bothered to turn up for the game.

The incident was awful, and Armagh will come off looking worse. I’m not actually sure how it all kicked off, but that eye gouging incident will haunt our reputation for a long while I imagine. The teams definitely needs to be disciplined moving forward because its happened too often in such a short period of time.

Armagh were putting in shoves and elbows off the ball and I think its okay to an extent as long as you don’t cross the line. I also thought one of the worse incidents before the brawl was the Galway man on top of the Armagh man off the ball while our man was struggling to get up. That didn’t get shown much but it looked like he was really struggling, and this was just 5 minutes before the full-time whistle.

Was the red harsh? I thought he absolutely tried to clatter him but in a way acceptable with the rules. He was way stronger than his opponent and that’s why the Galway man got hurt, not necessarily because it was a dirty challenge. Maybe I’m wrong, I haven’t seen enough of what constitutes a red card.

What an eventful game with a lot of talking points. As someone who has only recently started following the GAA, I know my thoughts don’t carry a lot of weight – I’m still learning! I’m looking forward to seeing what a lot of your thoughts are.

I thought Greg was very unlucky, it was split second stuff. Split second earlier and it was a perfect hit but when seeing it slowed down he caught him high. Quite similar to the Dublin v Mayo incident last year where the lad got the jaw broke, lined him up and split second late.
Hard to tell but I don’t think it had a massive bearing on the game, Galway always seemed to be that bit more in control throughout

Just wondering wouldn’t rule it out. If donaghy goes I think we could be in real trouble as he seems to be making the real difference

I’ll do a longer post tomorrow. Absolutely deflated after that. A huge thank you to all lads and management for a great year. Heartbreaking to end like that. We have the best fans in the country-if croker had a roof it would have lifted off.

Rian O’Neill nailed on for an all star now? Rafferty maybe an outside shout?

And anyone coming in with any negative shite about any player/coach after today- don’t bother your hole.

We’ll be back. Up Armagh!

Not a peep from you after the Tyrone , Donegal games then it’s full gung ho again after a defeat , it must have killed you when we equalised in normal time you probably had the Anti McGeeney ready to send . You were anti Grimley what I remember as well , who do you think will lead us to the next level. Give us a few names or is it anybody but McGeeney ?

Had the chances to win the game and kicked a few bad wides from good positions although I thought Galway controlled the tempo of the game and in the end deserved the win. Thought mc cabes was a great hit when looking from the Hogan, not just as clean when slowed down but a red still harsh. Definitely an issue with discipline in general. Kelly should be expecting a lengthy suspension and although as an armagh fan it's not nice to admit it will be completely deserved. Mc Geeney defending the melee in bbc interview after the game isn't a good look either.
