Its great to be involved this weekend . I was listening to somebody saying that this should be a regular occurrence for Armagh because of the talent in the team and I agree . I wouldn't say getting to the semi final is a bonus either , well it might be , but this is the first time since 08 I have gone to a quarter final with belief rather than hope .Galway's an excellent team and the commentary by @Championship above is far more detailed than I could produce and shows that they are a very dangerous outfit . But we have to believe that our own strengths can overcome there's , the team has momentum and that's a massive thing in all aspects of life , the fans are fully behind them , I'm hearing reports that 37,500 tickets are been sold to Armagh fans (although how they know this I don't know) but there's one thing for certain we will have the biggest support there on Sunday which must give the players or the management a huge lift .
I'm feeling as nervous as an Ireland Final day and i don't know if that a good or bad thing but I'm going to enjoy the day and take it all in and try not to get carried away with the emotion as it is only a game of football after all .
I think the team know what they have to do and I'm sure they will go full tilt , this is a massive opportunity and I wish them all well . Hopefully on Sunday by the end of the game we will be hearing @PatMustard favourite song again . All we can do as supporters is encourage and keep the faith .Remember there will be ups and downs so lets give the best support we possibly can.

Excellent post. Thank you William

Is the car park at Whitehall church free and does it have opening/closing times?
I read that it jointly owned by Church and Dublin city council. Not sure if that is the case.

So game weekend finally. Last week was joy, giddiness, nervous excitement and ticketing tantrums. Galway a good draw something fresh from the incestuous ulster ties. Good side of the draw to think about what might be come the end of July.

This week a bit of reality, much more nerves and trying to resolve parking problems just shows its been too long since we've been at this stage. Comments from the forum and column inches absorbed. Galway analysed. Good forwards, good defenders and in truth over the last number of years better pedigree in terms of winning provincial, being in div 1 and getting to a semi final.

But what about us? Something seems to have been forged in the embers of the Donegal defeat. Injuries overcome and if one star player is stifled another comes to the fore. David Clifford may be the best forward in Ireland but Rian on his day is arguably the most complete and best footballer. Coupled with Rory Grugan who is one of the most intelligent and under rated players in the land this is a formidable combination for any defence before we start talking about Soupy, Turbitt, Murnin, Nugent, Duffy or the rest. Morgan and Forker can handle Walsh and Comer with plenty of support from Jarly Og, McCabe and McKay. Keep them to no more than 1 goal and we can outscore them. Crealey and Sheridan have grown in confidence over the last 2 games and any of the lads who have come off the bench will be rightly full of belief.

We have the depth and ability to win this. The team will go to the well out of pure respect and admiration for Kieran McGeeney and no matter what your views we as supporters should jump on board and follow suit. My 90 year old long suffering Armagh supporting Da reminded me today that our nerves are more to do with looking forward to what might be rather than enjoying Sunday.

We have the team, the momentum and support to do this. Enjoy it.

C'mon Armagh.

I have parked a few times there and it was free but if not anymore there will be signs it’s normally open all hours as well

Here's hoping for a good result. Slight worry that in all the previews no one seems to be mentioning that we beat two teams whose camps didn't seem to be just right. That won't be the case tomorrow.

That's the worry for me. Tyrone and Donegal both had baggage with a bit of staleness about them. I'd expect Galway to be a much tougher, slippier opponent mainly because they've more in form forwards, and because they should be fresher and hungrier than those two. Hope I'm wrong.
