If McCabe has 2 game ban take it on the chin, I would say the same for Nugent if it’s a 1 game ban. I don’t believe Nugent should get a ban but sometimes you need to play the game. The needs to be a bit of a PR spin for the county and appealing all the bans would not be a good look. The games that are missed won’t make any button of difference in the long run.

As for TK if it is 24 weeks, take it on the chin and move on. He is injured and will make no impact this year for club anyway so just go to ground and get his fitness, body and mind, ready for next season. Anything bigger than that appeal it

I got a news flash text from RTÉ saying 24 weeks. I have never received anything about a player getting banned etc before from them normally only results or resignations.

No. From the rule book “Suspension in the same Code and at the same Level applicable to the next game in the combination of the National League/ Inter-County Senior Championship, even if the game occurs in the following year.“

I think the match bans apply to league and championship.

Not looking anyone banned for longer or owt but does it not seem to be a bit mad that TK will be back and available but Nugent, McCabe and Turbitt won't.


Seriously needs a review of disciplinary processes.

Galway will definitely appeal Kelly’s red card…. Would love to know why or how they got both sent off

That is scandalous if true. What a joke that system is. I totally back the lad but surely it should’ve been a 10 game county ban or something would make more sense

Hope we get Sean Kelly off and Armagh captain should get off but understand why ye wouldnt go near an appeal. As a lad stated above its being well overdone you would swear there had been people hositalised. Cranks like RIC Flanagan looking for the Garda to get involved is embaressing I expect Taoiseach, a GAA man felt he had to say something then. Roll on the semi,upper Cusack booked and Doire awaits.
