There used to be the old TV3 I believe it was called that had fair share of games before sky took over. BBC also followed all ulster teams after the provincial stages.

While it’s disappointing for a lot of people that the match isn’t on RTE, no amount of complaining is going to change anything.

It’s either pay for GAAGO, go to the match or listen to the radio. Or get someone to send a pigeon to you at half time and full time with the score.

I’m not trying to belittle anyone’s situation. This is just the way it is.

It was the exact same thing when it was on sky, I personally liked the sky coverage as the analysis was great and was handier to watch. GAA GO is abit awkward for someone who isn't tech savy which I get. If they were able to make an app for smart TV's etc for it that was easier to use it would be a bigger success. RTE isn't free to air either, we have to pay tv licences of £159 a year do we not?

RTE they have the rights to show 31 live matches (provisions in place for replays) across football and hurling. The amount of matches shown each round / weekend are largely predetermined before the season begins.

It’s not just a case of a match is on let’s show it, the GAA licences out the rights to show the matches, it retains the remaining for itself on GAA GO, although it’s a joint venture with RTE which help with the broadcasting. The rights are negotiated every 5 years so this is how it gonna be for the next 5 years.

When was the last time all 4 quarters where shown on one weekend, if ever?

Absolutely no issue with paying for the match but the tech is challenging for some.

Even the firestick remote is awkward if your not that dexterous and there is a fear among those less tech savvy about logging in or doing the wrong thing and maybe incurring charges. Even the terminology used on the app is off-putting. If we want to see more games broadcast then we have to accept that its fair to pay something but make it as easy as possible to access.

I had to leave the Westmeath game and drive to my dads to sort him out as I didn't want him to miss out before coming back to the game so missed the first20 odd mins. Can't do that tomorrow unless the delorean is free.....

that Monaghan teams looks very much like a Malachy O’Rouke team. A lot of running in it.

Countering that threat is key here.

No cheap yellow cards please. We want management to have a full hand to play with in terms of fresh legs for runners. Monaghan will make us work for this

Wee bit nervous about tomorrow, team is as good as of hoped but bench doesn't have as many attackers on the bench, if Armagh play the right way it's a win but I'm super nervous about it

Hopefully Darren Hughes will stay on the bench
He done serious damage when we played them in the ulster semi couple of years back and still a quality player

100% expect Hughes to start and cause serious bother in the open spaces of croker. Can't see him lasting the full 70 but McManus will enter the fray with 15 to go if it's tight (which it prob will be).
Don't think anyone should be fooled - this is a serious Monaghan team and it's going to be an epic battle.
Let's think back to every game this year bar Galway - it hasn't been great.
We've seen the following:

Cagey Armagh - most of league
Cautious Armagh - Derry game
Complacent Armagh - Westmeath
Wasteful Armagh - Tyrone
Indisciplined Armagh - Tyrone/Derry
Attacking Armagh - Div 3 opposition / Galway 2nd half and few league games when chasing (Mayo for example).

What will we see tomorrow? Cautious 1st half / attacking 2nd??

Safe travels to all Armagh Gaels and let’s turn Croker (in particular the hill hopefully) orange and help get our lads over the line. When as supporters we turn up in our numbers and so vocal and colourful it lifts them 15 lads on the pitch as well as the bench. Best fans in the country and fully behind all management and players tomorrow. Ard Mhacha Abu
